LAM- London Alternative Market

Been to the Birmingham BBB, version. Theres are sellers there who sell online, others that are one off's. But you can buy "event speacails" and its the atmosphere and people you meet you can't get online- amazing. We also attended the after party. |

We find both excellent and most sellers are very approachable and knowledgeable and in the fetish lifestyle.
Much better and cheaper then the big commercial events that have sprung up.
Will do bespoke in terms of clothes and reasonable prices.
Workshop are Brilliant covering loads of stuff that cross over to Swinging play.
Got a wand that still like new after 10 years. Good collection of whips, floggers and toys.
Always feel very safe and comfortable at the markets.
Been to few after parties and these are fun.
Go along and you will love it. |

Another BBB regular.
The atmosphere is great, and you can actually pick up the toys, try on the clothes etc. It's about look and feel.
Most of the items for sale are hand-crafted, so if isn't exactly what you are looking for, you could ask the stall-holder to make one that is. |

Thank you everyone for responses. I actually wondered whether there will some handcrafted stuff and small businesses there and glad to hear that is very likely
The ones happening soon will be inline with restrictions so no after party or meetings as social distancing will be in place too.
So my question was for shopping purposes only |

"Anyone been there? I’d like to hear experiences Can you really find vast variety of stuff? or just regular online products most of the time? "
It's been going for years and took over from the LFF when that packed up years ago! Good bunch of traders and usually a wide variety of bits and bobs. Yes some of the traders have websites some use online market places etc etc but it's always nice to be able to get up close and feel what you're buying which you just can't do via a website!
Well worth popping along to |

The LAM and BBB are worth going to if you like kink/fetish gear. If you don’t then you are limely wasting your time.
There are some vendors that only go to one, with others that go to both.
The after party’s were ok, but due to the locations could never feature nudity.
They often run workshops which can be hit or miss.
You can find more vendors/makers on the website that cannot be named. My favourite hitty things are from a small vendor who only sold at the BBB. |

There and to the left a bit |
Used to go to the previous incarnation the LFF years ago when it was held in a bar near Kings Cross - always an interesting mix of both people and stalls although definitely for the kink/fetish crowd - heard about it from someone I knew that worked on one of the fetish jewellery stalls that was there - if the LAM is similar then I'd definitely recommend it |

Cheers for heads up - will have a look when it's on. |

I've been to LAMchester (LAM have started running this up in Manchester) as well as BBB. I definitely think it's worth it if you're into fetish gear as the stuff is much better quality than sex shops and you can pick up some beautiful, unique, handcrafted pieces. My personal favourites are Daisy's floggers (she makes such beautiful pieces and has recently started making some gorgeous resin handles for her floggers which I would love to see in person) and Godemiche (they make the most beautiful silicone sex toys in all different colours including marbled, stripey, glitter, UV, etc. I love just looking at their stall as its so pretty!!) |
