Following on from the How others see you thread, I thought that I’d revisit this.
I’ve not done one of these for a while but at it’s heart is the intent for us to be more rounded and understanding people.
Self reflection is an important tool in understanding what, why and how we act but so is how others honestly see us.
Post that you’re in on the thread, then respond to others via message with honest opinions about people. Not nasty, not sycophantic, honest appraisals of how you feel about them, this isn’t a chance to try to ‘get in’ with that hottie, this should be a self improvement exercise.
The intent is to honestly see how others view us, if you give criticism, then please be constructive with it. Remember to be kind folks. Let’s see how this goes...
Remember to respect filters, if you can’t directly message someone, then don’t post it on the thread, it’s meant to be private and personal |

If you want it to be a self improvement exercise, then I would have suggested explaining the Johari Window as you are likely to get feedback that fits in the Open/Arena and Blind Spot areas, but if you don’t appreciate that you may not learn from it. |

You can also be honest, even if that involves saying things I might not like

If this thread has taught me one thing, it is that I should take time out to 'see' the people behind the names
I recognise lots of profile names, I recognise lots of profile pics, but I don't really 'follow' that many and I rarely, if ever, look at profiles
If I see a thread or a comment I can get behind, I will respond but, in doing so, I rarely know enough about the poster to pass any valid comments in threads like this
The ones I tend to notice are those that 'play daft' or those that post with warmth & friendliness |
