hiding from cock pics.

Recently I have started meditating each day before I get up, mostly affirmations to give me confidence and intention for my day.

Does anybody else here use morning meditations?

Today I listened to "I am meditations" from Powerthoughts meditation Club on youtube.

Wishing you all a very good morning

My mum listens to these every morning.

I would if I could but my beautiful daughters pounce on me every morning, trying to meditate with them would be impossible.

Does it work for people who can overthink after bad situations?

I've always felt that meditation wouldn't work for me as it requires a clear headspace and I'm worried the silence would only make it worse

I use guided meditation so there is music and voice guiding me along so no silence. I feel personally as long as somebody is willing to open their mind to it could help anybody.

maybe you could try a short one with them like 5 minutes, and make it a game, so they can listen with you, it's so very peaceful they might find they like it.

You can get some guided ones that are only 3 minutes long.

Om is at the heart of yoga, it’s the whole universe coalesced into a single word, representing the union of mind, body and spirit.

If by meditation you mean contemplative thinking then yes if you mean thinking with a belief pattern then no.

Contemplative thinking and getting lost in those thoughts is how a Thai monk explained it to me I honestly was awaiting him saying do this do that and the devine Buddha will guide you

I started back in November, writing my goals down, meditation helps me a lot to stay focussed. Keep it up. Great choice, so many benefits from it x

"A moments thought is worth a thousand words." Another self made millionaire told me that! You have to be thinking all the time, and working out the next move, if you are going to stay ahead of the game.

Meditation is more a state of mind than a process. While it is nice to have a quiet time and place to focus upon breathing and letting go of thoughts, you can still have a calmer state of mind in your day to day tasks by allowing your practice to coincide with whatever you are doing

I try to meditate daily. It is fantastic for grounding and letting the stresses of the day fall away.

It doesn't have to be part of any belief system, just time for yourself and to help create a clear head space.

There are lots on YouTube to start with including some fantastic guided meditations.

I'm really happy to see so many of you use it also, I am finding it really useful and I feel it has made a difference to my day-to-day life and also has me looking into other areas of spirituality and self awareness that I'm developing also.

It allows the mind to work and sort things while in a quiet state. Release the thoughts and emotions and be in the present....which is where life and joy are....not the past or the future
