Can anyone in the job shed light on how many women are actually wearing hold ups whilst working on flight. Too many times I’m sat wondering/fantasising over this! Anyone?????

I'm guessing zero. They are not as comfortable as tights and a danger of them slipping down while you are working.

The last Virgin flight I was on, I caught a glimpse of a stocking top.

That said if you Google "cabin crew stockings" it brings up a plethora of pictures and information that indicates they do wear them.

Also, a restriction around the thigh at altitude would probably increase the risk of DVT at worse; and swelling in the lower leg at best.

That might be why stockings and not hold ups?

I very much doubt they have to disclose their underwear before boarding the aircraft.

Do you discuss your own undewear with your boss n work colleagues ?

We have a winner then if witnessed in the flesh! Although have to go some for that to happen as skirts are generally quite long

Either/or is just as much a fantasy... just thought stockings may be a little harder to disguise

Why is it difficult to believe women would wear clothing because they want to, because they like it, rather than for the benefit of others? Do men wear certain clothing for the benefit of others, or is it a uniquely female trait?

Because we are still mostly viewed as a sex object. Many men still can't separate porn from real life. Women in uniform = naughty nurse/naughty hostess/naughty secretary wearing sexy lingerie in anticipation of a chance encounter to please a man.

Some flights are still coming in and out of the UK.

I would hazard a guess that some uniformed ground crew were stockings, or hold ups. Judging by the tell tales signs, of the suspenders leaving a tell tale line on the womans bum cheeks.

Not on a flight, but on the long walk to the gates. It helps make the long walk, to the crew room enjoyable.

Of course we all wear the things we do through choice, but also, we all do, or have worn something with the other person in mind! Say if meeting on a date or you know your partner likes a certain dress or pair of jeans you have... blokes do this also you may be surprised to hear

Need to stop taking it quite so personally... it’s made easy for men to see certain scenarios as sexy which unfortunately dates way way back to when ‘pin up’ posters were invented - which also still happen in nowadays calendars you can buy each year.... not just women, but me! Half naked men greased up carrying tyres, or firemen!

Everyone is in some way seen as a sex object in certain situations, consider it a compliment

Not cabin crew, but I was ground staff for an airline, so wore exactly the same uniform as CC.

Hold ups are very uncomfortable when you have to be on your feet up to 12 hrs a day (just like CC) and what you would notice/need the least is someone perving at you.

My skirt used to ride up a bit when I was sat down boarding flights or during check in and showed a bit of thigh (with nearly black tights) I twice got inappropriate comments from men who thought I was flashing them.

People are just doing their job. There is a time and place for everything.

"Why is it difficult to believe women would wear clothing because they want to, because they like it, rather than for the benefit of others? Do men wear certain clothing for the benefit of others, or is it a uniquely female trait?

Because we are still mostly viewed as a sex object. Many men still can't separate porn from real life. Women in uniform = naughty nurse/naughty hostess/naughty secretary wearing sexy lingerie in anticipation of a chance encounter to please a man.

Of course, being leered at and touched up is a compliment, my mistake for taking it so personally

Touched up is different... as is leered at! But being looked at in an appreciative way, whether it’s in an attraction way or a sexual way is always a compliment surely?? "

Being leered at is unreasonable behaviour. Women are not sex objects, they are human beings who deserve respect. It’s not a compliment being leered at and guys who think this need to change their attitude. Women judge men on the forums from reading their comments so doubt your views will get you far!

Carlisle

Had a lovely glimpse of stocking tops, a few years ago, as the BA cabin crew girl reached up to the overhead and her skirt slid up her leg. Very nice.

I do one of the jobs you mention and have had to stop telling guys because of the sexual response I get about the attire I wear and if I give the boss sex.....erm very very annoying and I consider such guys very stupid!

Consider the site you are on

Guessing the questions won’t very often be the same if face to face, don’t worry x

Actually, I know nurses who get all manner of sexualised comments when they're at work. Not nice, eh?"

In the job I do I have been leered at. One Friday I wore a different dress with heels as I was meeting a friend after work and I was asked if I was wearing stockings, told him to mind his own business. Not nice being subjected to that at work! I’m not a sex object. I just thought the bloke was ‘sad’!!!!

I was once asked by a woman on a night out if I was wearing tight fitting boxers or loose.. didn’t know this woman from Adam so perhaps I should have kicked up a stink about not being a sex object

Very unfortunate and very wrong

Unfortunately some people can't separate fantasy (on places like this) from reality...

but they can separate leers from a complimentary look apparently

dude just read the room, people just going about their job dont want you staring at their ass - its not a compliment "

Dude???

And no, I most certainly don’t sit staring at asses everywhere I go but like all men/women alike, we all notice and appreciate!

You men seem to think that in some professions, nurses, cabin crew, secretaries that we wear certain underwear just to please our bosses. You really need to get back to reality and stop confusing real life with porn! My pantyhose certainly aren’t in a twist as I’m not wearing any pantyhose

Where'd you get that idea from? My idea of the perfect man is sat working downstairs in the living room and he doesn't look like any of those things. Stereotypes, that's all that is

As you can see OP, men aren't allowed to have fantasies on here.

If they dare to disclose one of theirs the herd of "All men are perverts!" wildebeest come crashing in to smash your fantasy to smithereens.

Sometimes I forget these forums are on a sex site.

As equally far fetched as believing all men see nurses, secretaries etc as play things. I merely asked if anyone else fantasised or knew if hold ups were a regular bit of fun amongst cabin crew - no idea when the overreaction of working women in all industries came into play

So you think it’s ok to sit on a flight and fantasise about the women working on that flight, going about doing their daily job? I get comments sometimes in my career and I’m confident enough to deal with the men appropriately xxxxxxxxx

That’s fair enough... however the ‘appreciate it as a compliment’ was not about leering, perving or anything else that was banded about, but was in fact more about it being a compliment if you’re looked at in a nice way.

I for one can appreciate when both women AND men look good and would certainly feel good if I knew someone else who walked passed me on the street thought I was dressed nice or I was attractive. That’s all....

what gets me about posts like this from women is you clearly have no objections to being objectified and thats 100% your choice - you are completely entitled to feel that way

if i am being honest if i got a whistle in the street i might too actually have a spring in my step for the rest of the day while thinking ooft i must look good today

but our line and someone elses line are not the same, we don’t get to decide what everyone else finds acceptable so it’s unfair to come on to a thread where women have clearly objected, the guy has then continued directly to those specific women (its not like he was just ignoring them and carrying on the thread) and pretty much give him a green light by saying its the women over reacting

if i came on a thread saying i like anal so all women should just put up with anal, i mean why would you be on a sex site if you aren’t looking for a bit of any and all sexual activity and that includes anal, there would be an outcry

its the same thing on a smaller scale

some women can be totally happy to be part of a mans fantasy, but maybe these women on the thread who clearly from their posts experience it day to day at work don’t feel the same and why should they have to put up with it because some other women like it?

i know you think its that way , but scanning someones arse for the line of a suspender belt kinda is perving

to me there is a difference between a fantasy in your head and taking someone in front of you and involving them in it - what you think is a complimentary glance, is probably something they are experiencing at work every day and is making them uncomfortable

and if you didnt realise then thats fine you learn and move on , but it was being vocalised in black and white and you were then telling them they were wrong - in my head thats where the line gets crossed

Then surely if they don’t like the thread and it’s not for them like you said, then leave and seek one of the many other chats available no? Leave the thread for those who take it for what it is instead of looking to argue for arguments sake

fair point, but when its not a thread? when its them at work being asked about their stockings - what is it they are supposed to do then? quit their job?

Rightly express their displeasure.... I’m in total agreement on that! But we’re talking about thread fantasy are we not?"

it started off that way but then people were saying they get it at work and hate it and being told they should take it as a compliment

you are getting the heat here for something people are frustrated about from experiencing all the time which is disproportionate to your thread , but thats the unfortunately the nature of people putting up with it all the time and probably not feeling like they can speak out about it at work but its easier on a thread - chances are at work they roll their eyes and walk away for fear of making the situation worse or making a scene where they work

oh and the line of the arse thing i scrolled back and was someone else so apologies for thinking that was you

"do you live in america? charity car washes and pool cleaners?

it seems all your ideas of women are far fetched, from underwear all the way through to how we fantasise about men

As equally far fetched as believing all men see nurses, secretaries etc as play things. I merely asked if anyone else fantasised or knew if hold ups were a regular bit of fun amongst cabin crew - no idea when the overreaction of working women in all industries came into play

to be honest i had no objection to your OP which seemed like fantasy to me ... it was the way you followed it up with comments showing your entitlement like just appreciate the compliment that didn’t sit right with me

That’s all....

i know you think its that way , but scanning someones arse for the line of a suspender belt kinda is perving

to me there is a difference between a fantasy in your head and taking someone in front of you and involving them in it - what you think is a complimentary glance, is probably something they are experiencing at work every day and is making them uncomfortable

and if you didnt realise then thats fine you learn and move on , but it was being vocalised in black and white and you were then telling them they were wrong - in my head thats where the line gets crossed

Let’s be fair, I never said I scan a woman’s arse for a suspender belt, and I didn’t say anyone was wrong either..... "

You said and I quote ‘everyone in some way is seen as a sex object in certain situations, consider it a compliment’....

So I’m going about my job as a Personal Assistant, wearing a different dress, stockings and heels and a male colleague asks me if I’m wearing stockings! Is that right I should be treated that way? Should I take it as a compliment? It’s not like I want to encourage attention from him. I’m professional at work.

"As you can see OP, men aren't allowed to have fantasies on here.

If they dare to disclose one of theirs the herd of "All men are perverts!" wildebeest come crashing in to smash your fantasy to smithereens.

Sometimes I forget these forums are on a sex site.

what gets me about posts like this from women is you clearly have no objections to being objectified and thats 100% your choice - you are completely entitled to feel that way

if i am being honest if i got a whistle in the street i might too actually have a spring in my step for the rest of the day while thinking ooft i must look good today

but our line and someone elses line are not the same, we don’t get to decide what everyone else finds acceptable so it’s unfair to come on to a thread where women have clearly objected, the guy has then continued directly to those specific women (its not like he was just ignoring them and carrying on the thread) and pretty much give him a green light by saying its the women over reacting

if i came on a thread saying i like anal so all women should just put up with anal, i mean why would you be on a sex site if you aren’t looking for a bit of any and all sexual activity and that includes anal, there would be an outcry

its the same thing on a smaller scale

Agree with you 100% - and I assure you I don’t letch and also assure you no man or woman knows what fantasy may be going through my mind which would make them feel uncomfortable.

And to clarify, i don’t see it in any way a compliment to be harassed like some have experienced on this thread either....

Yes.... my quote did say ‘certain situations’

Certain situations are not ALL situations so maybe ask which situation/s I refer to before automatically hitting me at max level 10 x

Maybe OP you should have explained what ‘certain situations’ meant when you wrote the phrase. It’s not for me to ask you to explain everything. I’ve to take it as a compliment if I’m seen as a sex object? Goodness. oh and I don’t argue for argument sake. You’re not happy because some ladies here don’t get that you think it’s ok to leer at women and fantasise about them when they are just doing their job

It would appear it’s not for you to ask much at all when it comes to the relevance of the thread. You seem too intent on looking at the negative of each comment and twist accordingly. If you read the above, you’ll see I don’t think it’s ok to ‘leer’ - merely glance and appreciate.

If people have taken you as a sex object in the past then that’s completely irrelevant to here and something you may wish to vent in that direction as believe me, I’m not viewing you or anyone else on here that way right now x

Ex-crew here, and I can assure you that I ever worked with anyone wearing stockings, it's all about comfort especially on long days.

And no girls want to be leered at when working.

I’m sure many members of cabin crew wear stockings or hold ups, maybe sometimes it’s even the real women on the planes flight crew that would wear them
