So I bought a wand after hearing so much about them... And I hated it!
I think my clit must be very sensitive, as even on the lowest setting and barely touching me the wand was powerful enough to be painful and then made my clit go completely numb.

They can be quite sensitive and yes you can go numb from the sensation. I find some lube helps and not putting it directly on the clit and then just the slightest movement over it creates the sensation I need |

Interesting, so maybe on the hood and not direct contact? I don't understand why it's made from a rubbery material that causes so much friction, why not smooth plastic? |

I have the exact same issue with them. As far as vibrators go I get on much better with bullet vibrators or I have found a smaller, less powerful wand tgat works for me. The lowest setting is like when the batteries are dying on most  . So the next setting up or the one after that works for me  . |

Agreeing with the don't apply directly to the clit posts - you can always try using it whilst wearing knickers and that way you have a barrier against the full sensation of it. Lots of lube helps as well.
Having typed that, sometimes a toy isn't compatible with you - you might be better with something that isn't so focused on your clit. |

You're not usual Kitty. I won't repeat the good advice already given except to say use lube with the rubbery head.

Use plenty of lube and don’t keep it on a set place for too long, move it around as if massaging the area. Also, hold the wand itself in various ways to get a different angle etc and we also use a variety of toys not to over stimulate or desensitise an area. Although, the Mr’s tongue does a great job regardless, so it hasn’t been problematic for us as yet. Hope that helps you x |
