What's the point in writing a profile ..... a damnnnn long ass one ... then adding the highlights on the Top for ppl who don't wanna read...

Don't think it matters how short or long it is, sometimes people don't even get that far down before sending a message or wink 
Annoys the shit out of me too! Tend to just let it fly straight over my head now and just delete their message, if they can't be bothered why should I?

There will always be people who like taking shortcuts and somethings like reading a profile is too much of an effort for them. There's not much we can do to change that, we can only put our best foot forward and hope for the best.

I think your profile narrative is about right in terms of length and it does clearly set out your requirements in some detail.
A few grammatical mistakes but nothing to outrageous. |

I think getting the length right (no jokes please, oh well, go on ...) is quite important. I like a profile to be a reasonable length to give me an insight into the person whose profile I'm reading, but to be honest when it gets to Tolstoy proportions, I start losing the will to read. Some information is good to start a conversation, but too much and it feels like I'm back at school doing a comprehension exercise in an English lesson at the end of a day when it's sunny outside and I've had PE the period before! |

But tbh I'm not even sure that's relevant to the fact that people don't read.

That’s a very sweeping comment. Maybe even a little unfair. There are some who think a little deeper than that and it’s not always about a ‘happy ending’. Some view this site as a sex site and as such think that’s what is on offer, more fool them. In my opinion they’re missing the point and the chance of opening up a whole new world of experiences and friendships. |

Its a numbers game. Fire off as many messages as you can to as many people as you can regardless of their profile in the hope you get a bite.
The photos and maybe interests are enough to determine attraction. There is no point reading the profile unless they get a response.
Thats my perception based on the number of messages we get where it is clear we are not what they are looking for. |

Nobody reads profiles. If we all expected that first, we would all be alright.
I have said and state. I could put anything in a single males profile and nobody would care to read it or believe it. And I stand by that

We always read profiles.
Long, non-existent or something in-between they're always a good indication of compatibility.

Many people just view gallery images and click on the adjacent 'send a message' or 'send a wink' options without bothering to view the related profile at all.
Just this morning we've had a one liner from a guy asking "are you into bi guys?'"
Not only did he ignore our profile but also our current status. I think these people just click on every appealing image they see and that's why we just ignore their messages and blcok them. |

The T's & C's on purchases aren't quite the equivalent of a profile and those who don't bother to read them can't really complain afterwards if things don't go the way they want. You don't go around buying stuff which isn't suitable for you I'd assume. I reckon you do your basic research and find out about the product first to see if it meets your needs. That's what profiles are for.
Those who don't bother reading profiles before contacting members are plain lazy. Those who then expect a 'polite response' and moan when it doesn't arrive are as arrogant as they are hypocritical.

Well... no.... sorry.... I'm not going to reply to anyone that starts out by saying they wanna do XYZ... or asking if I'd like to meet.
I also read everyone's profile whom msgs me...
Then afraid to say..... ignore the ones whose msgs don't at least acknowledge some content of my profile.
