How is it possible to monitor every post in every thread or is it more casually done?

Is there a 'hitlist' of posters deemed troublesome and when they post it flashes up somewhere ?

I imagine moderators spend most time looking at comments and threads which have been reported to them.

I'd imagine that it is more user based moderation. If someone comes across a dodgy post, they hit the report button then a moderator looks into it. It's in all our interests to make sure things don't stray.

Tom, there's no mole and no hit list.

We moderate how admin have asked us, if people report posts we look at them and if we notice things ourselves e.g. a thread in the wrong section we take action.

There's a link to discuss moderator action if anybody feels they've received unfair treatment
