Some people look stunning on photo, they are so photogenic it's jaw dropping.

Me on the other hand am quite possibly the least photogenic person on the planet - I do look better in person. Anyone have any advice about how to take a decent photo of my face people may actually like?

Good lighting, use front facing camera so you can see how you look. Auto adjust on photos can help and colour/light issues.

Smile, and don’t hold the phone below you and stare down into it. Experiment, take loads of selfies until you get used to it and find angles you like. Take a dozen and only use the one you like most. Selfie like a woman basically.

Cable knit sweater over the shoulders, pointing at something on the horizon, foot up on a random log, chinos with turn ups, brogues, a whimsical smile like you’re remembering a distant memory, maybe a previous love from a long forgotten meet. All these things add an air of mystery that will entice the ladies to fill your inbox.

Use your phone timer, prop it up, and experiment. Try different heights and angles until you can see what works for you.

I’ve been on here for 2 years(old account), and my early attempts were pretty dire.

Make sure you have a decent background ans good lighting, and just have fun with it.

As will coffee and cake or wine for two, when you're the only one in the picture. Make them hungry.
