It does bring happiness & freedom for me anyway.
When I was a broke 21 year old with debts I had bad anxiety due to worrying about how to pay everything off, I couldn’t socialise or go away much as I didn’t have the income, now I’m a successful 27 year old who is debt free I don’t have to worry, I’m lucky enough to be able to do the things I want to, when I want to & not worry about the cost. (When there isn’t a pandemic of course).

It is a tool that would make life easier, but not happier. Happiness only comes from a mixture of what a person feels as valuable to their own life and is different from individual to individual.
I fail to see how a man made construct can make people change or evoke happiness. |

"So many people have said money does not bring you happiness what's your verdict on it?"
I have money and can say whilst it brings security, it doesn't in of itself bring me happiness.
Family is where true wealth lies, IMO. |

"Not really . I have money .
But I'd rather be poor and happy
It's kinda easy to think that if you're free of money worries "
It's only been this way for the last 6 months . Trust me I've been in the pit of poverty many times so I do understand |

I'd say it can. Money can buy you time to do stuff you've always wanted to do. For example, if you were to win the lottery you wouldn't have to work again, meaning you could travel the world and explore etc.
The lad that came up with MySpace had the right idea. Sell the company and spend the rest of his days travelling the world and taking awesome photos |

Saying quotes is one thing but live the reality of this quote is a very diferent matter when someone is poor and have no money the happiness is not their meal in their every day life

It's rather hard to be happy if your not financially stable and worrying about how your going to feed your wife and children AND pay the bills. Having money doesn't bring happiness in and of itself but it can take those worries away. Family and friends make real happiness |

Having money would eliminate some stresses and bring options I don't currently have. I'm fairly content as it is though. The things that cause me most stress are not money related. |

Yes definitely, 100%.
I'd be absolutely thrilled to be able to own my own house, provide financial security for my family, buy a car and be able to travel, own pets and have more babies and not have to worry about bills.
I do think money can buy happiness in ways.

Money gives me opportunities to do things that make me happy. Traveling etc. So in a round about way, yes it does.
But i find things that don’t cost money make me the happiest, so in a round about way. No. |

I'm sad and unhappy at the moment, because I'm now into my 7th week on furlough.
I'm the breadwinner, trying and nearly failing to support my family on very little money.
So yes, money would me happiness without a doubt. |

"So many people have said money does not bring you happiness what's your verdict on it?"
I’d rather have land if I’m honest. I’ve got money and it’s a huge help on the ladder towards happiness - anyone who says it doesn’t matter has likely never gone without and speaking out of ignorance for me. |

I'd probably echo what a lot of people have said, it's about having security and freedom.
I think for most people having a guaranteed monthly income that comfortably covers the bills (some magical trust fund) Would be as valuable as a lottery win |

For me I'm happy with what I've got yes my ex put me in debt and a lot of the time it does piss me off that it's taking a long time to get away from it but just got to live and learn |

Right now I'm financially comfortable, so more money wouldn't do anything for me.
In the days where I've had to decide which bills to pay a fiver towards to try and keep utilities going another week, then yes, money would have absolutely bought me happiness because it was a lack of money making me unhappy.
It's a lot easier to feel happy when your immediate basic physiological needs are being met. |

Right now it would not only bring happiness to a lot of people but the opportunity to live with dignity. Demonising money isn't the right thing to do, unless it turns you into a worse version of yourself. |

Fuck yes give me the money.
If I'm rich and miserable bring it on.
Better than poor and miserable.
It's always people who have money who say it doesn't bring you happiness.
Well I'm betting they have never had to try and feed the whole family for a week on family allowance??

Money would bring stability to free up your time to do other things it gives you options and chances to change your life And allows you freedom without the worries and pressures of life ....but ive worked for multi millionaires and more and some are still not happy with what they have its not about the more you have or the more you want its about being content in life and being in your happy place and enjoying life god health good giggles great sex every time |

I've had no money, and I've had money.. And to be honest it makes no difference to my happiness, not worrying about bills is a bonus.. Buying nice things well obviously that's nice, but that's isn't happiness! Being comfortable is all I'm botherd about. Happiness starts at home in my opinion the right family/friends by your side that's all that matters |

You can be miserable with a lot of money and happy without.
What (enough) money buys you is security, security that you still have shelter and food for you and your loved ones tomorrow. If you have more than enough money you may even have some extra time with them and buy them nice things, which would make you and them happy. So money doesn't make you happy, but it helps to be less miserable and more secure |

At this stage of my life money would bring me much happiness as i could retire and not need to struggle each month. I would also enable me to holiday whenever i wanted and holidays always make me happy. |

"It may not make me 100% happy, but if I'm going to be sad - I'd rather be sad with a Lamborghini parked on the drive. "
Agree.
Money can bring happiness and comfort to a certain extent.
With money one can travel and visit families/friends living far away, do and buy a lot of things/gadgets that can entertain oneself or keep in touch with families/friends far away for examples.
Depends on how you spend it, as the value is in the spending. |

Not guaranteed happiness but it would remove hell of a lot of stress from my life. Not even loads of money. £10k would allow me to finally get on the property ladder and that alone would be huge for me. |

I think having money helps some aspects of your life, not having to worry about putting food on the table or paying your rent that month would be such a sence of relief to many people who live hand to louth every month but that's not the same as making you happy, having a comfortable life and a happy life are not the same thing |

Money doesn’t buy you happiness, but being utterly skint, and worrying about your finances doesn’t either.
I’m happy in myself, having money would ease a lot of stresses for me, which would make me happier. |

Money buys you time to enjoy life. We moved from an expensive area to a cheap area so we could live mortgage free, we now only need to work 3 or 4 months per year. We're not materialistic, we don't need a fancy car, jewelry, designer clothes or shoes or the latest gadgets - time is our luxury. |

It can bring choice.
Those choices in turn can lead to feeling less restricted and therefore happier. Choices can also bring frustration and confusion, which can lead to the opposite.
Security, yes, that does give relief and less stress which ultimately will likely impact how happy you are.
But, I have fuck all. Fuck. All.
I know that my friends love me for me, they're not sniffing round for what they can get off me. They're not lingering because I may be able to bail them out of a situation.
That security to me is priceless. That means the world to me. |

It would reduce my stress levels and allow me to enjoy more things in life for sure.
Maybe it would mean I was less likely to look for love as well, which would in turn prevent another broken heart.
So yes. It would. |

I'd be happy travelling the world alone in a nice big luxury yacht living my life carefree in all different ports around the world.
Money doesn't buy happiness itself but it buys goods/services that make you happy! |

"The best things in life are free.
Sometimes you need enough money to gain access to them! "
Best things in life are free?
It's the maintenance that's dear.
Good health costs money, especially dentists and opticians.
Family and friends can't live and travel to each other on fresh air.
Good neighbourhoods tend not to be cheap.
Some skills need money to reach their full potential. |
