I went New Year's Eve 2019 at MOS, and for a number circumstances occurring before the night I was not feeling it. There were some beautiful people and amazing outfits and shows. On the other hand there was pitifully little fetish going on. There were guys lurking in the shadows the equivalent of the wanking dead if anything sexual occurred. It had the feel of a car crash school disco but with latex. But to be fair other fabbers that went reported back in the forum as having a good time.
I then went in the summer 2019, I think it was at Kings Cross and I came away with the same feeling of it being a school disco with latex, but actually that was not such a bad thing. People dressing up and having fun. There were less lurkers and better action in the dungeon to watch although still very little fetish, but it was not a bad night.
I think it is best to go with someone or a crew. I say this as someone who goes to Antichrist alone, and went to the Subversion nights, and Zara Du Rose's nights alone and mainly enjoyed myself.
I do miss Club Subversion at Crystals and Subversion Noir when it was at the Hoist.

TG has changed from being a really out there fetish and sex party to being the worlds foremost fancy dress party for pretty people.
The last time I went the sex and the fetish stuff was contained in a tiny room, the whole place stank of sweat and I have to admit the venue was a bit lacking.
I went to one at Mass and that was an amazing venue for it.

Disappointed.
Went once in 2017, lasted maybe 2 hours before leaving.
Was a massive disco and fashion parade with the play area a small room off to one side.
Much prefer to go to other kink events, and when it was on Cirque du Chaos in Birmingham.

My first was at Mass, about a decade or so ago, and I loved it.
I still attend their events every so often, usually as a helping hand, and mostly to keep in touch with people from the fet scene.
There is always some amazing costumes that I really haven't seen the like of elsewhere and sometimes outstanding cabaret too. |

I think Mass was the venue i went to a few times... Rolled out at 7am i think most times, blinking in the daylight thinking we'd only been in a couple of hours... so clearly had an awesome time!
The cabarets were mind boggling - to extreme for me... The blood
The outfits amazing, the dance floor packed.. The dungeon had a gangbang or spanking, very nice... and the playrooms were full of players
What more do you need |

Sounds like our sort of thing. But we've never heard of this one - can you tell us more? |

Torture Garden started out as a Goth club back in the day . It was around the time of spanner case , and promoters had become a bit jittery about staging events , so the fetish crowd kinda jumped on the back of it .
Plus the scene was becoming a lot younger and more about making a statement, and many wanted to dance more than just standing around watching .. The rave culture played a very pivotal role in Torture Garden history .
I feel it was a good thing In many ways as it liberalised fetish , made it more accessible to a wider audience. My first ever club event was in the mid 80s , Der Putch in Balham , a tiny upstairs dance studio , with a make shift bar and a max of 100 people crammed in . In retrospect , whilst it had a great feeling of an underground movement and element of being very naughty ( a police raid could happen at any time ) , most people felt a need for more acceptance in the mainstream world .
Torture Garden has provided that platform as did Skin Two with its fetish balls in Hammersmith and I think that is a good thing overall .
Horses for courses though , and I do enjoy the smaller more “ kink “ themed venues as well .. it depends on what one wants on a particular evening ..
Both are good .. |

Have been going to all events that have a couple's room for the last five years. A lot depends on the venue and your companion. The current Pearl Necklace events are not what a full-blown TG is like, but they give a taster... I have been going to them as well, because I want to support TG. Also, you can do a lot in a cage, so if any female submissive is interested, I have tickets for this Friday and Saturday |

On paper, TG sounds like something I'd be all over.
Unfortunately, my spies report that if it ever actually was a kink event, it's now a fashion show / school disco for Beautiful People™ with a four-figure costume budget.
Since I'm not, and don't, I do wonder whether my time and money would be better spent on something closer to my requirements. |
