So I'm one week into being part of the sexy specs club and it's so damn good being able to see!! However, how do you ladies deal with the issue of make up or am I now just resigned to a life of constantly wiping my foundation off them?

I'm afraid the foundation on the bridge of the glasses is an ongoing battle, that and getting them caught in my hair when they're on the top of my head which is where they spend half their time (only need for reading)! Welcome to the sexy specs club Mrs C xx

I need mine for screens and seeing more than about 2m away so I've hardly taken them off since I got them! I actually have no idea how I was functioning!

Unfortunately not, nothing to avoid the foundation mark on the bridge, or mascara on the lens if your lashes are long!

Like someone has said above, a quick wipe on dressing gown at end of the day does the job haha!

Least you can see a lot better now, I usually wear contacts for meets etc as they get in the way.

I don't realise how bad my eyes are until I put my glasses on.

I only really need them for reading. Fuck me, instructions on food products or other labels are just not happening. No chance.

They're defo getting worse at distance stuff now too tho, I can't read the telly guide on the screen, but it's not a big telly.

I have worn glasses since I was a child... I don't often have problem getting makeup on them though.

My eyesight is so bad I can't see to put makeup on properly without them. I have to wear contact lenses to wear makeup.

I actually prefer wearing glasses as they hide my wonky nose!

But yes, on the rare occasion I wear makeup, they're filthy from foundation & mascara.

Also, have you discovered the joy of them steaming up every time you put a face mask on? Oh the joys of it all! X

I recently had to upgrade to varifocals, rather than single vision. I had to choose cheaper frames than I would like - £89 - as the cost of the lenses was £215.

At least I got free sunglasses from Specsavers!!

Making the nose pinch extra pointy and resting my glasses bridge on the mask works for me. If it still happens I twist the ear loops so the top of the mask is diagonally more angled. They hurt your ears quicker like that though so I try to avoid it if I can as I have to wear one all day.

Yes, I do that. And the twisty ear loop thing too. I guess it's cos I'm at home most of the time, so when I do go out, it takes a while for them to acclimatise.

I should just sit and wait in my car & not be so impatient!

I always have to wipe the nose area each time I take my makeup off and mascara can be an issue too.

I think the worst thing about glasses is having to wear them with face masks. I get so stressed out.

Oh and when you lose your glasses and look everywhere for them and then realise you're wearing them.

It's already starting!! The paranormal activity with the glasses!! I've sat on my glasses and broke about three pairs. O.o you have a juicy booty so you'll definitely break yours at some stage too.

Make-up finger prints on the lenses are a total pain .

I can do mascara without them but need them for tweezers ... which means trying to do eyebrows with glasses wonky half on my face so I can see with one eye to do the other eye ... can’t wait for salons to open

I'm out shopping at the moment, so I can't link, but YouTube: Lisa Eldridge did a makeup tutorial for glasses wearers, and Jackie Aina did one for budgeproof under masks.

I put up with it
