I just mentioned to someone about a time I cut a customer’s worktop wrong b it cost me £300 approx to fix it.
What’s your most expensive mistake you have made? |

I worked in a garage where a machanic (yes) put petrol in a diesel.

Not a mistake I made but machinist cutting blade slots on a forging on nights for my project, wrong sized tool used.
Forging scrap at just under £750k, new forging on 3 months delivery, restart of plant delayed by 14 days, damages payable of £450k a day in lost generation.
£7.3 million cost the company, which poor bugger had to present all this to the board, me |
