But then aint it up to the rest to stand up to him like the guy on the show did and was quick to walk off when he couldn't face the questions |

Quite.
I consider him to be a despicable excuse a man.
Sadly, he will no doubt be back on our TV screens before long |

He’s a bully and nobody is irreplaceable. Freedom of speech is our right but don’t ever think that word spoken comes without backlash. If you don’t want a persons view or opinion then don’t say it |

I've only seen him on the show where he interviews individual celebrities. He was OK at that.
When I was working o didn't have time to watch breakfast tv, now I'm not working I don't wake up in time so I don't care if he comes back or not. |

I think that people like him are incredibly dangerous.
In my opinion, modern Britain has recently been demolished by sensationalism in the news media, and I find people like Piers Morgan to be the real instigators. He, and others, are like the Jeremy Kyle of journalism - always looking for an opportunity to provoke, always looking for drama, always looking for conflict.
Piers Morgan, Katie Hopkins, Sean Hannity, and Bill O’Reilly make people think that shouting, interrupting, rudeness, denial of facts, and having unflinching opinions is the correct way to debate and discuss topics. It isn’t! They create a toxic space that attempts to reduce complexity down to “black and white” by disregarding others’ opinions. People go on to mimic this in their everyday lives, because being able to put a complicated subject into a simplified, dramatic sound byte helps people feel like they understand it. It speaks volumes for people’s intelligence when they can’t be open to reason or other points of view, and get aggressive in discussions because their simplification doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.
So, bye Piers! Go and sulk, like the baby you are. Hopefully he will be replaced with someone who understands complexity and the importance of listening, empathy, compassion, and working together. |

I really did your enjoy your post and I agree with almost all of it except that I don't believe that is how Piers operates. He does listen, he is more than willing to have his points of views challenged and changed. He enjoys facts and I see no reason why anyone should accept the unsupported opinions of others. Facts yes. Opinions No. I more a fan of pragmatic truths than I am of the 'well that's my truth' school of thought. Do I think he's self serving ..... yes. |

He is. I don't think he relished the bullshit that was being put forward about his personal life...
When my brain clicks into gear as it sometimes does..... I wonder if it's all part of a plan. He will do well from the publicity. |

I turn on the TV in the morning, to find out what's been going on in the world. Not to listen to someone, who has an ego the size of Everest, try to make guests feel uncomfortable and belittle them. You do that, and your never going to get the best out of anyone. Let alone the truth.
I think he has caught lots of liars out. But to keep attacking them verbally, long after he's made his point. To me at least, is too close to bullying imho.
Because of Piers, I've had to 'make do' with the 'unbiased' BBC. |

"He tells it how he sees it and not a watered down snow flake reply.
Don’t particularly like the man but we can’t let him go as then the snow flakes win. "
He’s a snowflake himself.
Alex Beresford has his say and Piers walked off like a spoilt child because the truth hurts.
He may tell it like it is sometimes, but he hates when others adopt the same approach so much so he talks over them until they back down. |

He does and says some things I agree with snd ge says and does lots that I don’t agree with.
I’m not with him on his views on MM, or his original comments about mental health and her potential exaggeration of her thoughts and feelings.
Nor do I agree with him, or anyone, wanting to speak and not wanting to listen. You can’t complain about leftie liberals and snowflakes and then storm off like a child when someone tells you something you don’t like.
We have freedom of speech within reason, but that is not without consequence. If you don’t want the consequences then keep quiet |

Yet that's exactly what he does for others. He rakes over other people's personal lives. He shouts over them in the name of 'journalism' and people think he's some sort of hero. He isn't. He's clearly a bully boy whose fragile ego was smashed by a very calm, very eloquent challenge.
I said it before and the more I watch of him on various stories I see it more and more..... He trades on 'Great britain' to gain the support of red top readers. He's The Sun personified. Anyone who dares to question anything he says is branded as unpatriotic, questioning our great queen, etc. |

So saying that he doesn't believe someone when they say they were suicidal is talking the truth? Saying he doesn't believe that someone got no help when asking for it, in a situation where he was jot present is talking the truth?
Alex stating that the person in question snubbed piers is a fact. Piers admits as much in previous interviews. He says she ghosted him after meeting Harry. He was pissed off he didn't get an invite to their wedding.... Again, a fact.

With any sort of testimony you have to try and separate fact from interpretation. That it was done incredibly badly in this case is my point.
As journalists it is their job to question public statements, but it should have been done professionally. |

You got to respect a person who aint affriad to stand up for their beliefs, instead of another presenter who says what they are told.
But, I very rarely agree with his views, and he is a bully when people disagree with him.
I have no opinion of Meghan, but I think Harry is a genuinely decent guy, and hope everything goes well for him. |
