i posted it off wrong profile just to prove im a klutz.
i have ripped my big toenail today at least halfway down my toe if not further its bled lots should i go casualty or just dress it and hope for the best it hurts like hell and i can feel it throbbing its only just stopped bleeding. Im a klutz and very accident prone  |

yes i did it was full of "this could get infected you might loose your toe if this happens" i have got mixed messages some places telling me to seek medical advice as it has been bleeding so long and others saying clean dressings and salt baths |

I'd go to A+E. Just to make sure you haven't done anything which could leave you open to infection.

update
They have strapped it down and cleaned it up properly i may loose the nail but we cant tell yet they have stopped the bleeding and it is now so wrapped up it looks like a cartoon injury so if you see me hobbling round chams on saturday avoid the toe please |

"ouchies! not good. Hope it heals rather than losing the nail, that is definately not fun when the nail comes off!"
Im really hoping it doesnt come off as i will have a weird looking toe for ages and i dont like feet at the best of times. |
