Just wondering how many charging points there are now. Are they good for longer distances. Is it worth getting one just now, or best to wait

Infrastructure is not in place to make them worthwhile for longer journeys as yet. Government missed a trick by not giving big incentives for a roll out of charging stations. Pre covid I travelled almost 500 mile journeys in one go with a 20 minute fuel and pee stop. With electric my 9 hour average journey would possibly turn into a two day trek.
