has just been remade...are we really at the end of originality...or is it that we just like to see what we are used to???
I have enjoyed some of the remakes I admit, but they are all forgettable...and if we are talking on remakes...why not remake films or tv shows that were too out there for their time(or were animated),, like Fantastic Planet, Ulysses 31, mysterious cities of gold( and old fave) |

Well, it spans from the recession, film investors are unwilling to invest in new, innovative scripts so they stick with what they think works, which has resulted in loads of remakes and closely related films (like Avengers & Prometheus) It should go back to the way it was when the economy picks up  |

its a bit like music, there is very rarely something original, there are only so many things you can make a film about, and most have been done, and done well,i was recently lucky enough to be involved in the making of a film and what an eye opener how much money they spend  |

There was a woman with three tits in the original. Thats make four if you count Arnie!
The new ones got Colin Farrell so might be a decent flick. The trailer was shown just after the one for the new Judge Dredd film so I guess originality is out the window.
Having said that, I've LOVED the three Dark Knight films so re-workings don't have to be unoriginal. |
