I've been musing about this a lot lately so I have a question for you all ..
I'm not on about acquaintances but in terms of your real friends, when shit gets serious do you have friends of the same sex you turn to or do you find in your experience that members of the opposite sex seem to be more empathetic towards you and are the ones that are really there for you ?? |

I’ve been thinking about this too!
I have one best friend who knows so much about me and he gets me totally.
So yes he’s male, I’d prefer to chat with him than any of my other female friends purely because he knows everything!
I have certain debate friends for certain issues if that makes sense... so one I’d go to about family issues, one I’d go to about kid issues etc etc
But Him, I’d go to him for anything x |

I’ve been thinking about this too!

I have a mixture of genders and different people for different things. Some people can handle me talking about a mental health crisis, others prefer to help with something more practical.

I have a few really good female friends. I'd likely go to them for different things at certain points. However I know that we are always there for each other.
I have a few male friends too, one I could talk to about anything. The others it's not so easy as we have previously slept together |

I've always seemed to talk to the women i know about serious shit , i can honestly say theres only one guy who I'd feel comfortable with about serious stuff and I've only known him a few months xx |

I seem to be the speed dial 1 for a few (mix of ladies and gentlemen).
Takes me a lot to feel the need to pick up the phone but peoples lines are engaged when I try to call (that would be a mix again of the sexes)
I don't have any friends that know everything (eg about Fab). |

My closest friends are male,i only had one good female friend but she sadly passed away in 2019 and theres not a day that i dont wish that she was here for everything.x |

I have 2 good friends that I can count on - one male one female
I'd say I can be more honest with my male friend and he has been there for me like a rock.

I don’t talk to anyone when shit goes down. I keep it all in but if I was to talk to anyone it would be friends that are women. |
