Anyone else feel the seriousness of topics on here recently are totally inappropriate for a swingers site?
And before all you angry cats get that back up, no I’m not suggesting the topics are not important, but in an appropriate settings. Asking for advice or having serious conversation with total strangers seems a little odd to me. Do people actually take the advice off people on here?
Is this just another platform to rant, vent, cause drama... or what seems common on here, a chance to sound smart to others because somehow that’s important to your own self worth. |

Its the lounge, as in any topic goes. In the same way they are free to post, you are free to ignore them.
People my choose to follow the advice given by others, but in some cases it is more a case of getting something off their chest. Strangers are often the best people to talk to as their opinions or judgements do not affect you so much.

i dont think any topics should be off limits just because people here like to get their rocks off in groups
i do think with everyone being stuck at home with the same people it has probably pushed more discussion that would have been debated amongst family and friends online but forums of all sorts have been discussing all manner of things with strangers for many years
i also think sometimes advice from a non biased stranger is better than any someone that knows you could give and sometimes reaching out to strangers is easier than admitting to people you care about that you need help |

Well this is the Lounge, I take most things people say with a pinch of salt. It's like a Forum Pub to me, if I don't wanna join in a conversation, I just move to another table and have a laugh and a joke on other threads |

Swingers are people too, they have the same kinda problems as regular people.
Why shouldn't they speak to a group of people who've got to know them over a period of years in some cases? In other cases it's constructive to get completely unbiased opinion. |

"Not really. Just pass it by if you dont like it.
'The lounge' is for any chat, 'swingers' is more sex related "
Basically said what I was going to say... |

"Think you will find this is a serious topic NOT about serious circumstances, oh wait the defensive parade are out. "
That's how I roll - I love a parade me |

"It’s been a bit heavy here the last few days, but that’s understandable, I’ve just avoided those threads cause I find them Exasperating."
I agree. And yes I did scroll on before people say but to more of the same. But as others say people can post what they like so I just chose not to be on here much today. People use this site for all different reasons. I come here for a laugh and to cheer myself up sometimes. Today it did the opposite so I stayed away. |

Seems so, perhaps try being less defensive. It might help you enjoy the topics |

Both excellent mature responses. And noted.
To me the topics and comments have been completely negative and toxic and I couldn’t grasp why people would use this platform for that, I’ll just keep off those feeds lol |

I think it’s good to have a range of topics including on serious and contentious subjects. Each to their own.
However I’m not sure Fab or any social media is a good place to discuss serious issues in depth or with any subtlety. People tend to fiercely defend their existing opinion rather than engage in genuine dialogue, which is why I steer clear. |

I certainly wasn’t implying objectifying people, I’ve never once pushed my agenda on people, I’m all for debates and clever banter. I just don’t think some of the things I have read recently come close to appropriate, but again just my opinion and I have realised it’s best to shut up and let people be and avoid |

"What ones have not been appropriate? "
Not bringing up the topics again, not the purpose of this thread, I’ve realised let people who wish to jump into the rabbit hole to do so and mind my business |

I didn't suggest you were objectifying people, I said, if we restrict the forum to sex or popularity related topics, the end result is we just become objects |

I've posted what might be considered some serious topics in the lounge that were non swinger related... I find there are a whole range of people on here that can actually advice that I couldn't get anywhere else. |
