What do they get out of it....is it just insecurity, inferiority complex and jealousy??

I will never understand why, but as I said in a other post, it’s says everything about them, and nothing about the person they are stirring about.

I have no idea then, if it is the case that someone wants to just ruin someone happyness for their own ego or because they feel put out by someone else success then, yes.
If it's the case that a person is full of shit and feel they can ecploit other people and get away with, then piss on their parade to stop them hurting people.

As a general rule, I don't understand it
I'm invariably happy for strangers who are excited by what their future holds
However, I have friends who need a dose of reality from time to time, or get wildly excited, don't think things through and end up in a slump when it all comes back on them
I do that, not to piss on parades, but because I genuinely don't want them coming a cropper and need to know they have considered everything
Of course, people will do as they will and with friendship comes the ability to help them rebuild when it does go tits up
'Told ya so' solves nothing
Being there for them can, before, during and after and sometimes that does require a liberal spraying of piss |

Because they can, there's no rhyme or reason to it. And there are countless reasons why some feel the need to pull others down. Sometimes it's nasty and cruel and I suspect sometimes is due to poor mental health.
I don't think we'll ever get rid of these kind of people. But we can change how we react and engage with such people.

I won't add anything better that had already be said.
I personally try to stay from stuffs that has nothing to do with. But I can't 100% assure you that I have never done it in the past or will don't do it in the future.

In my opinion I think people are hurting/upset/disappointed with what they have and lash out either verbally, emotionally or psychologically to bring, the people they see as having more than them, down to their level.
It is easy to detach from it and look at it dispassionately when it does not effect me; but when it does I am afraid I am completely unforgiving - it is not a trait I am proud of either.

This goes on in the background here ALL the time at present. It’s never been as prevalent!
There are so many people here that ‘share’ what goes on in their lives (private and fab) with others, who share it with others, who share it in their groups that it’s inevitable that gossip happens and fall out from it. If people don’t want to be talked about then maybe don’t share the issues in your life with everyone here who will share it for you! If you don’t want it repeated don’t say it!
As I also suggested in a post earlier this week.... if anyone has a personal gripe with someone go and sort it out away from forums rather than involve everyone else. It just leaves people assuming you’re talking about anyone/everyone/them in particular.
Personally, I’m well aware I don’t get along with everyone, I’m always willing to talk/apologise if you feel you need to land a message in my inbox for something Ive done - sometimes its NOT as it may have been taken

It is a strange one when talking about interactions in the lounge and outside of it.
Some people like to rain on any parade whether they agree with it or not.
Some just like to cause vexation for the fun of it.
Some are duplicitous with multiple profiles so that they can lurk and cause distress.
Some people like me now just keep away most of the time, because I have had my fingers burnt by "friends" who in actual fact are not friends at all. Instead someone who can do whatever they want because their fingers do all the talking, and most of the time they will never meet you in real life so don't really give a shit what you think.
Last year we had a galentines thread which was, if memory serves, a pleasant thread with harmony. Not so sure this year many would have been capable with a straight face.
Anyway enough rambling. Love you Midnight and that is me being honest as you have always been kindness and love to me x |
