This is such a sad case, a real tragedy.
Died in police custody 4 years ago and finally the family have an inquest decision today.
There have been far too many deaths in police custody. |

"sadly not the first nor will it be the last.."
So true, amazingly this type of incident is beginning to lose it's 'shock factor' when the stories break.
How many more before someone is held accountable? In the Rigg case the Jury have basically called the Police liars. |

you know what, i was thinking just that, as well with many things that happen today.
i mean, when i was younger, and a child went missing, everyone panicked and made sure you were where you should be, and sympathised and worried, and so on.
now, am i the only one that, unfortunately, sees something on the news and says 'she/he's dead.....'
its horrible when you live in a world where something so abhorant as a life being taken becomes almost pase, but unfortunately these are the times we live in |

I agree, and with the advent of 24hr media everywhere you go, nothing has a lasting effect anymore.
I read thread a couple of months ago from someone, quite forcefully, saying that every soldier killed in action abroad should be headline news and be reported first on the TV news at night and they got really pissed off when people pointed out that news gets reported according to what will hold the nations interest and with the utmost respect to the families of those killed defending this country and its interests, the vast majority of the country no longer pay attention or if being really blunt, don't care.
The largest disaster ever to hit Japan, which wiped out so many lives, no many communities, and nearly caused a horrific nuclear meltdown only lasted a eek a the top of the news before the world moved on...probably to which celebrity Kim Kardashian is going to bleed dry of publicity before moving on...
Its a sad state of affairs but that is quite simply how life is these days. |
