"Why shame ?
He raised his voice, as the ones who didn't agree with him
That's the game. "
Well I think that being as ITV are running a huge campaign for mental health at the moment, their "star" presenter personally attacking someone who has said that they felt suicidal, regardless of who it is, might be an issue!
Plus he's a cock. |

"He's always been a monumental bellend. Stoking the flames of Britains bigotry. No idea why anyone wanted to watch him talk over people and blow his own trumpet anyway.
(And breathe Lacey *sigh*) "
Some watch him because they agree, some watch because they aggressively disagree. Division is how he’s built his brand and how he’ll continue.
As with any divisive troll, the best way to handle him is to remove his oxygen and his platforms (like Trump) |

Duno how the struggling NHS is going to cope with all the ‘gutted’ people on Social Media who are ‘gutted’ about Piers leaving. All those missing intestines.... Of all the things in life to be ‘gutted’ about, a loud mouth bully leaving his job isnt one of them. |

I don’t believe in cancelling dissent or opposing views, I do however expect them to be held accountable and be based in truth.
Discussion and argument are a healthy and, dare I say, vital part of growth and development, lest we get stuck in echo chambers. It needs to be based in respect and reason though, shouting “I don’t believe you” isn’t argument, opinion or discussion, it’s abusive and bullying |

It was his truth. He didn’t believe what was being put forward and he said so. Some think he is correct, some not but he spoke as he felt.
Respect and reason is very often in short supply on TV. He certainly isn’t the only one to speak out in that style and he won’t be the last. Most debates appear to be based on an individuals perception rather than actual fact. You only need to watch a politics program to see that. |

What has always annoyed me about Piers, is he is beyond forceful with his opinion, and disrespect to others.
Occasionally I may feel he has had a point, but the way he is makes me just dislike the man. |

Kinda hope he follows current trends and starts or joins a podcast. At least I'm less likely to accidentally stumble upon that. |

I was reading how in the 60s Democrats and Republicans who were willing to say there were intelligent people "on the other side of the fence" was something like 70%.
Today it's down to 20-odd percent.
We were heading in that direction anyway, but the "great" Brexit debate was a huge springboard to greater division.
People seem to circle their wagons around their beliefs, and are unwilling to even listen to an alternative take. |

For sure. And debate just seems to be shouting matches, and it's difficult to not be on guard in those circumstances.
It's an interesting conversation to have - but for various reasons I don't think I'll be having it here |

Good. Glad he’s gone.
There’s a video circulating on social media of an interview he did where he talks about how he met Meghan and how he got her a cab to a club and that’s where she met Harry, after that they never spoke again.
You can clearly tell from the video he’s bothered by that. I think that’s the reason for his disgusting tirade against her. |

I don't think he left, I think he was told to leave and give the golden hand shake, he will be back when the heat dies down, look at Boris with water cannon, garden bridge, racist letter box jokes just to name a few, and they give him the top job in the country, I would not be surprised if he was our next Prime Minister

Gary Lineker tweeted that it was sad that he lost his job and people are turning on him too. He says it's sad when anybody gets the boot..
I saw the interview where Piers says that they met for a drink, spent two hours in a pub and after she left and met Prince Harry that night then she ghosted him.. Maybe he was a pub bore or maybe Harry had an issue with the Mirror printing faked pictures of the army..
Who knows. |

I don’t know the bloke and don’t have a TV , so all I know of it is what’s in this thread and that on radio news said he had left his job.
From this thread I learn,
That someone said something he didn’t like and he was very vocal in his objection and maybe rude.
He has said something that others don’t agree with and they are being vocal in their objections, and some are being very rude.
Maybe all of us should look at our behaviour towards others, it’s a vicious circle and takes the bigger person to break that circle.
By all means, hold people too account, but do it in a way that reflects well on yourself.
Just my take on it.
I’m sure I will be told what others think of it. |

100% this for me - people have different opinions especially on something polarising like the royal family and that is ok
shouting over the top of people as though the loudest person in the room has the most important opinion, going on a half hour rant calling a suicidal woman a liar because you have personal history with her and then storming off when someone has the audacity to calmly challenge your view is all pathetic
its all pathetic in a private setting, worse when when you think its his workplace, then consider his workplace is nationally televised and it just doesn’t bare thinking about |

Personally I think the show has a big part to play in facilitating his behaviour. He has been allowed to air is visceral views for so long, he doesn't even realise why he has upset so many people.
I tuned in this morning hoping for a more adult like exchange of views and discussions. All I witnessed was the two hosts cut in when someone was responding to their questions. |

100% this for me - people have different opinions especially on something polarising like the royal family and that is ok
shouting over the top of people as though the loudest person in the room has the most important opinion, going on a half hour rant calling a suicidal woman a liar because you have personal history with her and then storming off when someone has the audacity to calmly challenge your view is all pathetic
its all pathetic in a private setting, worse when when you think its his workplace, then consider his workplace is nationally televised and it just doesn’t bare thinking about
A bit like when they had that American woman dr whoever she was shouting yesterday
But apparently that was ok
Oh god did she.. she silenced Piers"
She just came out with a string of load out and out drivil blah blah blah!!!! |

Sky news reporting that Megan made a complaint about Piers. Should that not be confidential ?
If Essex Tom complains about Coronation Street then he would not expect his name plastered all over the news |

"I feel he’s going to be the Katie Hopkins of 2021..... *sigh*
Omg! Imagine them 2 together! x
It’s to horrendous to think about
Have they ever been seen in the same room?"
It wouldn’t surprise me if they have |

"I don’t know the bloke and don’t have a TV , so all I know of it is what’s in this thread and that on radio news said he had left his job.
this guy has been bullying people for years and and it come on top, I also don't watch tv but know who he is, I find it hard to believe your not aware who he is, has he been around for years, if your on you have access to a phone or computer so the I don't have a tv sounds like your a fan, and there noting wrong with being a fan but just own it |
