I've had a finger nail fall off, accidentally slammed the car door on it. It initially grew back as though it was wavy. But with time it grew back normally.
I have a split toenail which has never healed from an accident. Think I've damaged the nail bed |

Mine grew back wizened and weird, unfortunately that’s what you’ve got to look forwards to.
On the plus side, if I scratch it on a wardrobe door, the wardrobe becomes a portal to the magical land of Narnia, of which I’m currently high king. So swings and roundabouts |

A sore subject for me this and I dont generally admit this but around 20 years ago whilst at work a forklift driver ran over my big toe and broke my toe .
Sadly when my toe healed the nail bed underneath healed in the wrong position and now I have a skewiff big toenail and looks fuckin horrible.
This is why my right foot is never in any pics  |

My right big toenail was ripped off by a massive iron gate that I pushed too vigorously to open it. It sprang back and lifted the nail up like a hinge (was wearing flip flops). It took around a year to grow back and it's just a normal toenail, fortunately. |

My big toe nail came off - don't play football in flipflops not matter how much your 5yr old asks!!!
It grew back fine and didn't take too long but my hair and nails do grow quite fast to be fair  |

Due to a seemingly constant number of football injuries I’ve had this happen multiple times, it grows back absolutely fine. I’d say it does grow back at roughly the same rate your nails grow usually, takes about 8 weeks or more to be pretty much nearly there |

I’ve heard this often but never had that issue.
As a point of advice; buy shoes that are half a size too large, that prevents blisters and toe nail loss |

I lost a big toe nail when I was in an accident. Took a fair few months to grow back. It’s now a thicker nail and I now constantly have ingrowing nail issues with it.
You’d have to be really close to notice it though. Once I pop nail polish on it - looks fine.

Ouch. Twice. They (or it??) grew back fine, I remember it took a while. I tried rubbing it too to make it grow faster,...well it works on other parts of my body!!!  |
