What makes your reply ....
Jump to: Newest in thread
I asked in an early post what wouldn't make you reply to a message...now am asking what would make you reply to messages...
Most folk...would rather they didn't get "hey" "hi" "hows you" " hows fab treating you" "fancy a shag" open one-liners .... so what's the best message to get your attention? Asking for a friend or a few thousand men on fab lol ?? |

Tbh im not really that fussed aslong as its mostly polite, i even dont mind the dreaded "Hey, How are you doing" message that people seem to dislike for some reason. Aslong as when i read their Profile it interests me and they are not a million miles away. |

Get the same old stuff is boring to some people. But if someone’s being polite and being themselves, pretty rude to judge them on that! It’s only the first message and then you can get the ball rolling and change the chat. |

The profile makes us reply. The initial message will sometimes make us reply positively when we otherwise wouldn't have but if a profile is good we'll respond to one liners or obvious copy and paste. It's the messages that come after that count |

A hello and a small introduction followed by a compliment or if we have similar interests with no overly sexual content. It's not really rocket science to send a thought out message. It is as said above the next few messages that really count tho. You can tell in 3 messages usually how the rest of the conversation is going to go

Tbh a compliment...I always reply to a compliment... But I ignore the just `Hi` ones as they come across as borrrrring... No effort either so that possibly means no effort in other ways too |

Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone, but I actually reply to the majority anyway. Regardless what they say. But the ones that excite me is when it sounds friendly and they sound fun. |

Usually I'll reply to a forum thread... Or perhaps if i met you in a chat room
I like lots of fun, chatty, relaxed banter.. I don't like overly familiar or intense, serious 'what are you looking for' type conversations |

I look at profiles before I open a message, if the profile has something that sparks my interest then that'd encourage me to reply to the message.
If the profile is virtually blank then usually the message will be equally uninspiring.
If it's clear that the sender has read my profile, has understood it, & respects what it says, then I will always reply, even if it is a "no thanks" (in which case I always explain my reasons).
Hi, how you doing? type messages put the onus on me to extend the conversation, yet I didn't instigate it. These types of message feel lazy and unimaginative and often go unanswered.
If it feels like the sender has put some effort in, & actually want to talk to me, rather than just using a scatter gun approach & messaging every female they see online, then I will reply. |

I love a cheeky message that is funny and witty .. Someone that looked at your photos, profile or comment on thread and used it to make you smile.... I got one last week and I genuinely burst out laughing.... If anything else it can make your day!! |

It all depends on my mood at the time to be completely honest.
But I usually reply to comments from the forum or something that makes me laugh.
And of course if I like the profile. |

being amusing..
Laughter is the key for us. we ultimately want to enjoy the company of those who are around us, you could have a dick 10 inches long that tastes of chocolate and cums money... but till you can make K laugh, she won't be interested! |

I respond to every message regardless of content because I get very few so it's not difficult.
However it doesn't matter how good the opening message is if you can't maintain that level of conversation.
Make an effort but don't overreach. |

Plenty of reasons mentioned, but also for me something completely unique, out of the box, yet personal. Like picking on a word or phrase in my bio and sharing something related. Then you know they thought about it before typing. And thoughtful is a good sign. |

I like people who clearly read my profile and make the message relevant. As a general rule I don’t reply to anyone with no pictures or unverified couples profiles (nearly 100% fake accounts in my experience). I like a bit of humour |

I reply to pretty much everyone, most of the time it's a 'thanks, but no thanks' though.
I prefer it when people cut out all of the small talk and get straight to the point, not many do that though... |

Friends I will always answer. Anyone else only if they are asking a genuine question and I can help with the answer in a couple of sentences, that doesn't require a full on conversation.

I am the same - say what you are messaging about, neither of us actually care how the other is, or what we are up to! |
