Question:
I messaged someone earlier this evening but I now can't see the message in my sent folder. If I hit the message button I get the "you've messaged and they haven't responded". Do you think I've just hit the delete button by accident? Why is there no recycle bin?
If I have hit the delete button without realising how does that look to the person I messaged
Opinions? |

"You won't have deleted it their end, just your own "
True, but won't it show as deleted? Or does it only get marked "deleted" in the sent folder?
Thank you for the pointer |

Only gets marked deleted in the sent folder - it's why perceived wisdom for those that bemoan messages being deleted unread is to delete their sent box so they never know unless they get a reply |

Cool, good point and an interesting way to handle rejection etc etc
I just didn't want to appear rude, I might anyhow, but I've learnt something this evening, thank you |

If anything just send a disclaimer message that you deleted the message thread accidentally. Doesnt explain what the gig is if its disappeared randomly though. |

At first, I didn't realise that the delete button was there, and clicked it accidentally when trying to open a message (it was the first one I'd received from a woman).
By the time I'd undeleted it and written a reply, she'd obviously seen I'd deleted it without reading and blocked me, so I couldn't send it.
I did wonder about the "could have been" for a bit. |
