Hey lovely people in my phone.

I need some inspiration. I'm looking for an amazing song from a film to choreograph a burlesque routine to.

I'm not a film buff so hoping you lot can inspire me with something!

Xx

Cabaret and All That Jazz both have some great burlesque-y songs.

All great suggestions. I have one I've been working on but it's not been in any particularly iconic movies (feeling good by Muse) so aside from choosing an outfit to match a film (I was thinking the Secretary) I'm a bit stuck.

2nd this number 3 on my all time favourite films. I doubt many would’ve heard either song as well.

Or Klymax ‘Man size Love’ from the film Running Scared

Dunboyne

I discovered Kaleo watching Collateral Beauty.

I imagine it might be a great song for a strip routine a la Kim Basinger in 9 1/2 weeks.

The film, Harper Valley PTA is not only appropriate, but also set in the period of the golden age of burlesque. However, being from Fife myself, and familiar with Scottish culture, something that you might want to consider for a burlesque routine for up North, is a party song that I've heard called, "The Quine that does the strip at Inveruruie." For those who are wondering what a Quine is, it's the Aberdonianian word for a female.

Most know I Can Dream About You from the Dreams Advert, but I agree the Dan Hartman song from SoF is a cracking one.

Don't forget Marilyn Martin - Sorcerer, The Fixx Deeper & Deeper plus Fire Inc Nowhere Fast as well!!!

Its a rare film which not many people actually know about, but I agree that Diane Lane in the Red Dress at the end

My nan’s spare room.

It’s not iconic but You’ve Lost that loving feeling in Top Gun is a great use of a good song.
