I get anxiety really bad and at night I get nocturnal bruxism and sleep paralysis when I'm feeling especially out of sorts. Have you tried grounding exercises? Things like you have to think of three things you can see three things you can smell and three things you can hear and it helps bring your head back from where ever its wandered off to and back into the hear and now... Also when Im having trouble getting to sleep I count my breaths and try to think of nothing but that untill my brain shuts off |

I have suffered with anxiety and panic disorder all of my life and I still don’t have a grasp of it. I tend to mediate and practice mindfulness to try to bring myself back down. I have found that a regular and consistent regime helps me keep things into perspective so that I don’t start down the panic path as often as usual.
One thing that I found really helps is keeping a mental health journal. Getting the fragmented thoughts out of your head and onto paper helps me put form to them so that I can identify them and label them. Once that he happened, I can see me thought processes for what they really are - irrational - and I can take steps to stay grounded.
Lastly, be kind to yourself. |

A natural remedy , and I know a lot of folk go on about the deep breathing thing, but there is the 4 7 8 method. while seated or lying comfortably do this ...
breathing in through the nose to the count of 4 (fill those lungs)
hold for the count of 7 and then exhale through the mouth to the count of 8, really empty the lungs and repeat.
try to focus on the breathing, how natural it is, the steady rise and fall of your chest . if your mind wonders then bring it back to the counting and re-focus again. |

That's a breathing technique I was taught at a psychiatric hospital through group relaxation therapy.
I do it a few times a day still. |
