I don't join in with too many threads now only if I think I may have something to contribute, like me or loathe me.
Occasionally the odd ones are genuine fun, music, unpopular opinions. But most are simply attention seeking.
Politics leave them in the political forums as the brawls fall out into the rest of the streets/forums

I lurked for 2 and a bit years.
Have been posting for less than one. Does that make me an ex-lurker? Or a poster? Or is there a statute that days you are only a poster after a certain amount of time? This is a lot of pressure.

I'm a bit of a lurker, I do post now and then but not much.
I haven't got a thick skin and I think you need one for some of the posts so tend to stay out of them..
