"Great photo OP and a brave step in sharing something you are not comfortable with, some things we see as faults are not seen as do by others. Changed my avatar and made an old video public. I hate my tummy shelf and the fact it changes shape throughout the month, waking up and not knowing what size it will be that day, it’s not solid and likely never to be. I learned to love it years ago, it’s normally well hidden in photos with a hand or angle and well I just laugh at it now or make it laugh "Thank you so much Spurs. Became a full time job so now just put up with it . You are lovely as you are , and should not be worried by any means . Beautiful xxxx" In my eyes hairy chests are the best

"It's so lovely to see all the pictures that people are showing today. Last time I saw a thread like this, a few months ago, I wouldn't have had the courage to share, and a couple of other people who have posted their vulnerability here said the same back then. Even 2 or 3 weeks ago I wouldn't have posted. It is heartening to see people's journeys of self confidence, and wonderful that so many are so supportive of our community here. Fab can be a tough place for confidence, seeing people we perceive as perfect all the time, but moments like this when someone stands and says "this is me laid bare proud" and encourages others to do the same, they are moments when it shows what a great place the fora can be. I do want to add (so sorry to ramble), that I don't have the confidence for this picture all the time. When I took it on Monday I was so unsure, but I was convinced to post it. It's been hidden and unhidden a lot over this week. I didn't have confidence last night, and I might not tomorrow. But today I do. And that's the step in the right direction. When you do find your confidence for a time, embrace it, shout it from the roof if you want to. Or just know for yourself you feel good. But do remember that the people you see, on these fora, on fab, in the real world who you think are brimming with self confidence and self worth probably feel just as you do. " | |||

"It's so lovely to see all the pictures that people are showing today. Last time I saw a thread like this, a few months ago, I wouldn't have had the courage to share, and a couple of other people who have posted their vulnerability here said the same back then. Even 2 or 3 weeks ago I wouldn't have posted. It is heartening to see people's journeys of self confidence, and wonderful that so many are so supportive of our community here. Fab can be a tough place for confidence, seeing people we perceive as perfect all the time, but moments like this when someone stands and says "this is me laid bare proud" and encourages others to do the same, they are moments when it shows what a great place the fora can be. I do want to add (so sorry to ramble), that I don't have the confidence for this picture all the time. When I took it on Monday I was so unsure, but I was convinced to post it. It's been hidden and unhidden a lot over this week. I didn't have confidence last night, and I might not tomorrow. But today I do. And that's the step in the right direction. When you do find your confidence for a time, embrace it, shout it from the roof if you want to. Or just know for yourself you feel good. But do remember that the people you see, on these fora, on fab, in the real world who you think are brimming with self confidence and self worth probably feel just as you do. " Wonderful words | |||

"Good for you OP and great thread - while self-perception often leads us to find fault with our bodies, being able to embrace them for what they are and accept it doesn't change us the person that resides in them is a key step. Know that's not always easy to do, and I'm certainly a lot more self-conscious of my body these days than I was for years, and in fact am glad that I am - I went for far too long not caring how I looked, and look back now with a cringe. Anyway here's my warts and all pic - belly, moobs the works - it's me, plain and simple, I am working on improving it, not because I'm ashamed of it, but because I want to, and know for my health it's the right thing to do." That's a lovely post GM, it has really struck a chord with me. I have stormy so long trying to lose weight because I was ashamed of how I looked.
