Book club voting thread

Jump to: Newest in thread

By *ea monkey OP   Man  over a year ago

Manchester (he/him)

Following on from the book club thread, this is the shortlist for March.

If you could post your choice on the thread, I will then tally up the votes and let people know the results, either on this thread or on a new one.

Light Perpetual - Francis Spufford

Lanark - Alasdair Grey

Girl A - Abigail Dean

Midnight Library -Matt Haig

The over story - Richard Powers"

The Pariah - David Jackson

All the light we cannot see - Anthony Doerr

It’s been spoken about that this might be an expensive undertaking, so if people want to share books, then that’s always an option.

We will hopefully have a book club discussion about the choice at the end of the month, I’ll set the date later in the month. Thanks for taking part!

Light Perpetual gets my vote. I've already read Midnight Library and Girl A would be difficult to read for personal reasons.

"Light Perpetual gets my vote. I've already read Midnight Library and Girl A would be difficult to read for personal reasons.

I think that Girl A has the potential to be a very hard read for quite a few people but it was submitted so I’ve left it as an option.

I hope that this is something that people can dip in and out of according over time but as the first iteration, I thought that a popular vote would be best suited...possibly

Probably

Maybe...

I’m at work at the moment but when I get spare time, possibly this evening, then I’ll have a tally and give the people’s choice.

I think a bit of air time gives more people the chance to vote and catch up anyway
