I was very smugly thinking. I probably would, as I drove very correctly towards a roundabout, and then someone didn’t indicate when I was waiting, so I roared “you fucking knob” at him, and decided sheepishly I probably wouldn’t |

Not long ago I had to do a mock test for work, for insurance purposes. I 'passed' but it was really interesting to hear the instructor talk about changes in road conditions and cars from when I took my real test 30 years ago. I think many people would benefit from refresher or advanced lessons. |

I would likely still pass, but probably have the advantage of being a professional driver, and engaged with things like driver training, road safety and vehicle technology for most of my working life.
Thankfully these days I spend more time driving a computer - I love driving, but the stress of being on the road some days, and dealing with people who had no idea what they were doing, just took away the pleasure. Still enjoy getting behind the wheel now and again though.
"I've had a few drinks so I doubt it.
Well it is your birthday!
Oooo really. Happy birthday.
Sending a virtual birthday bj with happy ending. "
PS: I also have a birthday this year |

Going by the way people drive these day's I don't think there's any particular skill in passing.
Also seems that most haven't got a fucking clue about the highway code.
I could rant for hours about atrocious driving.
Personally I think it should be compulsory to retake every ten years when licence is renewed. |

"I would probably be ok on the practical as long as I remembered to keep both hands on the wheel. The theory on the other hand "
Oh yes, I’d definitely fail that! Should we be concerned we’re all out on the road |

I'd like to think so.. I passed my class 2 a couple of years ago and currently cover around 350 miles a week (sometimes more). So if I'd fail then everyone needs to buckle up |

I think that they should bring in redoing your license every say 5 to 10 years I think something like if you fail you can carry on driving but you have to 'retake your test within a month if you fail that license revoked until you pass again I drive a lot all over the UK and the standard of driving is shocking especially some things like keeping up with traffic 30 in a 60 is not a safe speed, 50 in the middle lane on a motor way stuff like that. |

Nope not a chance in hell..
When I had my test the examiner asked me what colour lights go after red.
I said Amber, he said nope, I then came up with about 10 other descriptions of amber before he put me out of my misery to say it’s red & amber
And that was after the disastrous stopping distance question. Back then you couldn’t fail on theory.., if you passed the practical otherwise I would not have passed! |

It was also 34 years ago I took my test, I thought I would fail if I had to take it again.
A couple of years ago I took my class 2 LGV test and passed first time with no faults. The most difficult thing was the theory part.
For me I've done
1981 Motorcycle
1987 Car
2019 Hgv
All passed first time.

I would fail on all parking I end up driving round the world before I try to “squeeze” in any spaces, when I get out the space is huge, I’m sure I think I’m in a juggernaut |

local, but not too local |
Pretty sure I could if I tried, except the stopping distances nonsense. I’ve been quizzing one of the younger members of the extended family to help them pass.
That said, I’ve gone from driving 400 miles a week to driving 4 miles a week, so maybe I’m out of practice?
But most drivers seem to either be texting, facebooking, or just furious at the world. |
