I was catfished but not on Fab.
Met someone through an online dating app and they looked nothing like the pics they were sending, nearly a foot shorter and different hair too.
Took her to a bar near the bus stop home and got drinks in, when she went to the loo I downed both drinks and bolted! Blocked her on everything, she still tries to add me to this day under a different name  |

It happened to me a few years back
Turned up at an address
Door answered by an elderly Jewish gent
Immediately thought 'fuck' but still asked if X was in
Thankfully, the guy said 'are you hear about the car too, I've had a few gents come today asking about a car and I'm not selling one'
So, whoever was being a twat was obviously sending blokes round to this old guys house for the fun of it |

I have caught part of a programme a couple of times on BBC late morning about people being scammed on dating sites. It is truly awful. Many though you can't understand why they thought the person was genuine. Some people in their seventies mailing young people who are what many people would see as models in their 20's, being robbed of life savings  |

Yes has happened to me by a guy on here.. Who still keeps trying it on.. Dodgy pics etc.. I keep reporting him as a fake but nothing ever gets done.. So annoying and a waste of my time! |

I got catfished on here... Profile pic looked like Taylor Lautner from Twilight and in reality looked like a 40 year old Hagrid. 
Begged me to give him a chance but if he can't be truthful with who he really is, what else could he lie about? |

I had one that I'd worked out. Called him out on it. He didn't seem to care.
He genuinely frightened me but not for my own safety but that of others. Some will go to such lengths to get a woman to a location I'm fearful of what may happen once they're there.
If I'd have not been switched on and went I'd have knocked the cunt out and phoned the police. Someone less confident may have found themselves feeling trapped and doing something they REALLY didn't want to, just to get away |

A friend of mine worked on a fraud / scam hotline for 18 months or so
He said until you heard the stories, you'd never believe what people fall for in the name of 'love'

I had an ex lie about a whole history of domestic abuse charges so naturally very suspicious anyway, that incident just made me even more suspicious of people. |
