Yes, I've heard a lot of them. Here's one:

The townspeople were assembled to hear the political candidates speak. Mullah Nasreddin stepped to the podium.

“I present to all of you the finest man you’ve ever seen. Humble and pious, his self-evident greatness shines like the stars of heaven. This man has dedicated himself to the welfare of the people, his allegiance to our glorious nation is paramount — that said — ( turning to the candidates on the stage ) Who among you will be the first to speak?”
