I am thinking of holding my very own "organised social gatherings" , Covid Rules allowing .
How do you good people feel about the day of the week ? Currently the licensee of the premises is suggesting/proposing a Thursday or a Sunday.
Alas Fridays and Saturdays will be too busy (fingers crossed) to hold such events .
Thank you for your input

"I’m thinking that Thursday might be better but I’ve heard of socials taking place on Sunday afternoons/lunchtimes before now"
I personally favour Thursday , I feel that Sunday tends to be a family day , who wants to go out in a food coma after their roast ? |

That’s very true.
Out of curiosity, what is the issue with Friday and Saturday? |

The place used to be rammed on those night (fingers crossed it will remain so after the restrictions are lifted) , I think it would be difficult to manage , keep an area cordoned off or discrete from other revellers. Where as on Thursdays and Sundays only 1 floor is open , leaving one of the bars area totally private .
Though this has given me an idea about the possibility of having it on a Friday night . I shall put it forward to the owners . |
