We both do it. Nothing very clever, just concentrate on our breathing, perhaps focus on something “happy”. It only needs to be done for a few minutes and it can really change your mindset.

I do guided meditation a lot. Find it helps enormously to forget the stress and any negativity from the day.

Highly recommend it. Lots on YouTube

Loads of mediation advice on YouTube and Amazon prime. I do meditate from time to time, not as often as I could though. I think if you're anxious the key is not to allow it to add to your anxiety. So, if you don't get it right, it doesn't matter, just do what you can, when you can.

Not sure if it counts as meditation but before covid we did yoga during our lunch breaks at work and at the end you lay on your back very still while the teacher talks you through relaxing each part of your body. It was wonderful.

A couple of sessions was just that, 45 mins of lying with your eyes closed, focusing on breathing, feeling your body relax more and more. Absolute heaven.

I might find some on YouTube and do one later.

That's exactly it. Wonderful for keeping grounded and coping with everything going on right now x

It's not easy as a relief from anxiety. The trouble is the more anxious you are the more you feel the need to force it and the less likely it is to work. Start off with an audio guided meditation, eventually you'll get to the point where you can do it yourself. Good luck OP.

Mindfulness meditation for my anxiety (been panic attack free for nearly nine years now, down from 2-6 a day). Focusing on my breathing or body parts. Guided meditations on YouTube.

Try the videos. I just put in my earphones, relax in bed and it works. You can only give it a go

Yes. It may get worse before it gets better, it's a practice.

I’m trying.

I’ve been doing mindfulness and guided meditations.

I’m not sure how much benefit it’s having.

I used to practice yoga regularly which has elements of meditation with connection between mind, body and breadth and an emphasis on being present on the mat - found this to be very therapeutic.

Mainly through a h*pnotherapy app to help me sleep, I'm not into all the spiritual hippy side of it like some but the breathing and relaxation techniques do work. Getting my overactive OCD brain to go quiet while I'm doing it is a different matter though, I find it nigh on impossible to stop thoughts pushing their way in!

There’s a free app called Insight timer. It has lots of different meditations, and you can search by subject if you want to focus on something specific
