There’s a bit of an art to proper sex talk I think. It takes more than ‘I want to smash your back doors in’ There has to be a flow to it, both parties have to be compatible. Just like actual sex. (Shock! Whodathunkit?) |

I agree with the it generally needs to be someone I know or have connected with.
I'm also a bit uncomfortable describing the actual acts, but like building up the scenario a bit...

It's down to imagination on both participants, and word use is critical. Ends up being more than sexting, like a novel but there is a huge difference in effect between the two.
Its never going to replace or be better than the real thing but it's a hell of a substitute with the right person, not to mention an addition to foreplay, teasing, and just sexual tension build up. |

It can be good, although as said there’s got to be a time and a place (and the inclination, which can be built on)
If you’re trying to get the kids to bed and their teeth brushed which feels like keeping plates spinning while somebody throws eggs at you, it’s probably not going to work.
Also, knowing what to call things is quite handy too. If “moist quim” is just going to make the other person laugh (unbelievable, I know) then you need to know what works.
You also need to be really tuned in to the other person’s reactions and they need to feel they can be honest too. It should be a dynamic between you, not just one person reading from a sheet no matter what the reaction. |

With the right person, where I've physically met them & there is a connection, it is sometimes fun, otherwise it does absolutely nothing for me.
Agree with the previous comments about certain words being an immediate turn off.
Always amuses me when a guy tries to instigate it and asks questions like "what are you doing right now?" or "what are you wearing?". I usually reply with brutal honesty, "sorting laundry" and "pyjama bottoms I slept in and a shapeless jumper with a bleach stain on the front" probably aren't the answers he is hoping for |
