"Just realised there's gyoza in the freezer and got a happy happy feeling .....
That's lockdown sad that is. "
Reading this just after going on Amazon Prime Now for chicken gyoza but no delivery slots until tomorrow has made me jealous. |

Suppose they're out of stock then though?
I may have to resort to Deliveroo or Uber Eats for some now |

"Excuse my ignorance but what is it?"
There are a couple of types.
I like the dumpling kind to steam.
The others I like are baked and a bit pastry like.
Imagine a teeny weeny pasty ...... steamed to be soft or baked/fried to be like pastry.
The filling is of chinese flavour. Might be chicken , veg, prawn ...... tasty ......
Next bit copied from net.
The typical gyoza filling consists of ground pork, nira chives, green onion, cabbage, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil, but some creative gyoza shops have also come up with a range of other fillings.
You can have Japanese ones too .... So I guess they are asiatic dumpling ..... bit like wonton .....

"Sad is reading this thread at half nine and realising not only do you not have any gyoza but you also don't have the energy to drive and get some. Sad. "
