"Sometimes. I don't everytime
OK...I wasn't sure how popular it was as I don't many that do it."
Being a chef I had to do it years ago for the first time and I was thinking fuck off. But I tried some and got a taste for it. |

"I'd try it. Maybe salt and dark chocolate chips could be good.
My dad is Scottish and always adds salt.
I like the combo of sugar and salt."
I like sweet and salty combinations like the popcorn or chocolate with sea salt in. |

"Never herd off salt in porridge have herd off sugar though "
If it weren't for my dad I wouldn't have either.
I'm not even sure he adds sugar!
He is very old school. I think sugar was a luxury when he was a child. |

"Salt when cooking then just cold milk to serve
Is that a Scottish thing....having no sugar but salt?
My dad is the same."
My grandad was Scottish. He made his porridge with water, not milk, and added salt to it. He had a mug of cold milk, and when he got a spoonful of porridge he would dip it in the milk.
I make mine with milk and sweeten with honey! |

"Yh I also like pancakes syrup and bacon
That has just reminded me of plantain and bacon.
It is so good!"
Now I'm thinking about crushed up crispy bacon sprinkled on the porridge |
