Sorry in advance for the depressing forum...

So just lately, I’ve basically been feeling like nothing interest me at all anymore. I just feel like everything is boring, even some of the things that I usually really really enjoy doing. Even conversation is hard now because I’m not not interested in anything that anyone wants to talk to me about, again even if it’s something I’m normally interested in.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? If so what did you do about it? I feel far from how I usually am and I can’t explain why?!

I'm not medically trained but I'd suggest that you might be depressed. Speak to your doctor for advice. Good luck

You are describing one of the symptoms of depression.

Give your GP a call and have a frank conversation about your mood.

Getting enough sleep, eating well, avoiding the booze and drugs and a bit of exercise can help.

Good luck

Just all that's gone on I think, we're saturated in negative press messages. End in sight can also make you feel it, think of working long hours n feeling fine till you get home n tiredness hits you all at once, it's kinda same thing.

Hang in, you'll be good again

Hi, Speak to your GP, it could be something as simple as a low vitamin level in your blood.

Seeking professional advice might be a good idea, but I suspect many are in a similar place right now. After months of lockdown, things to talk about are running thin, same thing different day, and there's little incentive to motivate yourself as we can't really get out and do stuff either.

You're probably depressed mate which there's no shame in whatsoever. We men tend to bottle everything up become despondent and distance ourselves instead of talking to those that care or even a neutral (I know I do) it's a good part of the reason male suicide rates are so dam high.

The last year has been fucking mental without having any choice in it we've all become withdrawn. Our daily routines have changed.

Freedoms we enjoyed have been taken away (this isn't a shot at lockdown as I believe the measures where necessary)

Things are hopefully starting to return to normal.

The best advice I can offer is talk to someone. Anyone it doesn't matter who just reach out

It's a difficult time for a lot of people. And a lot of people have suffered similarly.

I hope you get the help you need. Be kind to yourself.

I guess that’s why I’ve not bothered to look into it more, because others have it the same or even worse, guess that’s the typical man thing to do though eh?

Please don't think that! You're uniquely you - you can't compare such things. And just because others may feel the same way, it doesn't mitigate your feelings.

Speak to your doc & feel better soon xx
