After being made redundant twice in the past 12 months from high paid very stressful roles I was forced to take up something new. So I am now a postman and absolutely love it! Half the salary but 10 times the enjoyment .
Who else loves what they do ? |

Love it, i used to hate my job (butcher for my parents wild meat business) then spent some time courtesy of her majesty and decided to use my time positively. I gained a aerospace engineering degree and have worked my absolute ass off to be where i am now. I love my work, the day i dont ill stop. |

One of the things (Interested in people), if the past 12 months has changed peoples priorities and by how much.
Are we still a society, and our lifestyles driven by the acquisition of wealth or are people leaning towards sticking a happy medium |

I'm furloughed because I'm clinically extremely vulnerable. I'm loving it, i worked through first lockdown petrified that I'd get covid, i knew i fitted the criteria to be CEV, but i hadn't recieved the letter. Now i feel much safer, especially now I've had the first jab. |

I survived a redundancy cull in December 2019 but haven't been happy since then as they had not really thought things through and I ended up doing a mish-mash of jobs.
Last month they announced another restructure this time putting almost 20 of us at risk of redundancy so I took the bull by the horns and told them I won't be applying for one of the new roles and took redundancy instead.
Since then, I've had a successful interview for a new job elsewhere, which I start shortly, and as a bonus the salary is 60% higher, so happy days.
I hope I'll love my new job! I've heard good things about them and am looking forward to starting. |

I used to sail boats for a job and loved it most of the time. It was like being paid to go and play with your friends a lot of the time.
Im ashore now in the maritime industry and mostly love what I do apart from having a twatty manger.

Yes! At times I find it frustrating (unreasonable demands from clients times) but on the whole I enjoy it. I'm excited about lockdown being over because I thrive in a high pressure setting - I get such a rush from exceeding expectation. I love the skillset I've learned, the busman's holidays, the perks of the company.
I'm hoping to be chartered in the next couple of years (providing I don't have a baby) - due to various things I had to put it on hold.
So yes, I love my work. I'm glad I'm doing it. |
