What do you want to do after the 21st June.
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hope springs eternal as the UK counts down the agonising 17 week wait for potential freedom from rules, lockdowns and social distancing.
Aside from the mandatory giving and receiving of all forms of physical contact, social adventures and plotting your individual return to 'normality', what is the one thing you're already perusing the interweb with unbridled excitement for, in the hope that you can achieve it, at last?
For us, we're looking at tickets to try and get to the Amsterdam Grand Prix, killing two birds with one stone as we explore the sites of a city on our 'Top 10 to visit' list, as well as enjoying one of our favourite sports.
Cross fingers and toes for September.
What about you?

It may not be safe even then .
Lets not get ahead of ourselves just yet .
Obviously I hope we can play and meet but I will be cautious , and tbf my mojo has left me anyway of late, but if its up and running and it's safe to do so then I'm hoping a few plans I've made will come to fruition |

"I am just looking forward to the ability to choose what I want to do "
It will be a strange feeling to be able to do anything as you please and not have restrictions in place or worry about Police stopping you and questioning your intentions... |

It may not but making plans is exciting in the interim. Honestly, we think that it will slip 4 weeks and will be closer to the schools closing for summer holidays (if there's such a thing this year) but hopefully that leaves enough lead time for September to hold brighter prospects.
Won't be booking anything without a watertight Covid cancellation policy anyway. |

"The thought of shaking a mates hand or hugging a special person is such a joyous lol forward to . Small steps I suspect will be the order of the day "
Well said. There are parents, grandparents and many friends who need a hug, a handshake or a pint! |

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you) |
I think it will feel overwhelming.....I don’t know if I can think what I may do - our niece is getting married August other than that I have no plans....I will play it by ear and hope everything works out. I may be the only one here who feels quite nervous about everyone being everywhere all of the time and how long it will take me to adjust but yayyy to lockdown lift |

Nooo, nerves will be natural. If it wasn't for a voluntary role that I've been allowed to carry on with then I'd have had very little exposure to the outdoor world. Being able to have people over for coffee, a chat or nip out for a beer will be ever so novel! |

That's a great find.
Nothing abroad, already lost two holidays to Bulgaria because of this bloody virus. Onwards and upwards.

I’m not looking at any foreign holidays this year, just because our lockdown will hopefully be lifted it don’t mean any other country’s will be or travel restrictions imposed. |

I just heard a train horn. Thing is I do not live anywhere near a train line so I guess the physics were just right for the sound waves to travel to my ear.
I only usually hear them on hot summer nights when the windows are open and i'm in bed............... SO
That's what I am looking forward to.......... warm nights, open windows, and wooooooooooo woooooooooos. |

"Ohhh definitely holidays! I fly out friday and back in sunday most weekends
Also track days im missing getting behind the wheel so so much "
Sounds delightful. A little secret part of us can't wait for the children to be old enough whereby we might whisk ourselves away to Prague, Riga, Budapest for 2/3 nights.
What do you go on the track with? Car, Bike, something else entirely? |

Nothing wrong with that at all. Individual pleasures and all that.

I have worked all the way through this pandemic on the frontline and seeing things no-one should see. While everyone is out and about I'll be enjoying some much needed quiet downtime x |

Ahhh the pleasures of a night on top of the quilt with an open window for a breeze.
I pledge to chop off a finger if I moan about it being too hot at any point this year! |

As Primal Scream would have it:
"We just wanna be free to do what we wanna do. And we wanna get loaded. And we wanna have a good time. And that's what we're gonna do...
We're gonna get loaded! We're gonna have a party!" |

Sounds lovely. Track days sound fun. Car over bike everytime
We visited Warsaw way back in school. Done Rome and New York as a married couple. Plenty more to tick off the list, preferably following a few grand prix's around Europe too.
Belgium, Hungary and Amsterdam are on the list |
