... is too many? I've just counted 28, the bulk of which are Adidas.

I suspect some of you own 3 or 4 times that, but how many is too many?

Green boots

Very nice brown brogues

Pair of trainers for summer

This is the thing. It obviously isn't about need once you've got past 10. I would argue two pairs of dress shoes tho. One black one brown.

I have as many as I want as I have my own shop. Shirts are my problem, however I only wear them for a season and then donate them to a charity shop.

This was my thinking too, I would argue I keep a low carbon footprint. My clothes are second hand or out of season sales when new. I live in London so no car. I buy local produce whenever the option is there.

Shoes are my one weakness to the consumer economy.

I've branched out into boots again now but they sure felt strange initially.

Don't know if I could manage a heel, that might be a step too far

One pair of trainers will wear out in 6 to 12 months. A rack of trainers rotated will add years to each pair. Buy more shoes. Half a dozen pairs will do.

1 pr brown sliders

2 pair of running trainers

1 pr winter cycling boots

1 pr summer cycling shoes

1 pr cycling shoes, too narrow to wear

2 pair dress shoes brown and black

2 pair suede shoes brown and black

1 pr of brown Riekers yatchtie shoes

1 pair of safety trainers (for work)

My next ones to buy might be rigger boots.

I wish I could justify sourcing some Jordan Diors. I keep toying with the idea.

Shoe: Kurt Geiger brown oxfords. Which I hated when they arrived but have grown on me since.
