Im surprised that every time i have seen on the tv an injection being given, the person receiving it is looking away.

No way could i look away.

Am i the odd one out?

Is it just a thing that the tv insist upon?

Because ive always had a fobia of injections (i feel very scared) (yes i know thats wierd) makes me need to watch.

Regular blood tests various medical procedures I always look away.

I always watch them do it. Can’t look away. I get rather turned on when I get piercings and tattoos... maybe I’m weird....

I have given hundreds of injections over the years and most people look away.

You are definitely in the minority OP.

In the current circumstances, looking away is directing your breathing away from the person jabbing you.

I have a phobia and I can't look. If I look, my phobia might result in me trying to make the needle go away from me. Violence towards the phlebotomist/nurse/doctor/vaccine giver is not acceptable, and I actually want the thing, so I handle my shit

I can look but I'd really rather not. Particularly if they're taking blood out rather than putting stuff in.

Probably safer to look away as you might flinch or pull away as they go to insert it and not be properly vaccinated

Its great to hear all the responses i knew there was a problem with my "fobia" (phobia) lol i must turn on autocorrect.

Flinch wise im sure theres more chance id pull away if i wasnt looking, breath wise its a valid point. Its nice to know im not the only one who has to watch.

I don't look because if I do my blood pressure drops dramatically. I don't have a phobia or feel scared in anyway, it's just my body being a drama queen.
