I shall be mostly bored pretending to get stuff done whilst perving on here
At lunchtime I'm going to attempt a walk but I'm not commiting to it - it looks grim out there |

"I have an outing today!
Unfortunately it’s to get my implant changed. I feel sick already I’ll be fine once it’s over! Can use it as an excuse to eat profiteroles without diet guilt. "
Hope it all goes well for you.
Working from home and homeschooling. |

Morning Nell!
Kids are back at homeschooling, I’m on annual leave (should have been in Cornwall) so mooching about the house, moving crap from 1 place to another & binge watching tv. Will prep for a roast lamb dinner later & pop another layer of paint on a unit I’m upcycling. That’s quite a lot for me. T is at work

So many different ways of spending the day, lots of home schooling, i do admire everyone doing that.
I've had a very sad, stressful day, my mum died at the weekend, she had had alzheimers for many years and would have hated being bedridden, meals were just liquid, couldn't move, talk etc.
So it was a blessing really (for her) but still very sad. Also i hadn't seen her for a year because of covid.
The stressful part is dealing with the finacial stuff and the bank, especially when feeling so sad |

Today has been mixed
I was woken by my OH at 4am running round the bedroom telling me there was a bird in the eaves (there wasn't)
I woke again at 6am with the trots
I spent 3 hours this morning in the infirmary with Mum, the outcome of which wasn't great
Took her home, her fire wasn't working. Arranged engineer.
Made my parents some lunch, got them comfy & came home
Phone call from work, those staff still in (15 out of 60) are going down to a 4 day week, so things not looking great for me once furlough ends
Listened to the mortgage company justifying a £75 / month increase
Didn't need that today
Had a snooze for 30 minutes
Felt better
Had chips, beans & cheese plus a beer
Feel better still |

"Good morning, what are you doing today ? I got off to a bad start as i thought it was sunday !!!"
Will get up in a minute and have a shower and get dressed and prepare for my busy day. After breakfast I'll make the arduous commute, 30 steps from my kitchen table to my desk.
Have several meetings which I'll travel to...20 steps to the couch...I won't be wearing a mask either...covidiot...I know, I know. |

"Another two hospital appointments with Mum
Then do the weekly shop for the olds
Are you their carer ?"
Not officially
I am furloughed so am 'bearing the brunt' of their care atm
My sister & niece do bits too and I've already spoken with them about them needing to 'step up' when I do, eventually, go back to work |
