I think working for the NHS has been helpful for me, despite the uncertainty of the effect of Covid on staff and patient number.

I think working on site mainly helped me through the last few months from feeling less lonely and have a more optimistic hope for the future.

I'm fairly certain she means lots of people don't know what ODPs are. There's a huge shortage of them in the NHS, even worse than nurses.

No they are a separate profession

Some do scrub for cases in theatre, but also work in recovery and assist the anaesthetist when patients are getting put to sleep before surgery. They also go to any calls in A&E where an anaesthetist is needed and go on transfers with patients to other hospitals.

Not now or for long but worked for just over 18 months for SCAS, only in the 999 control room though.

The ambulance crews were and are great. Most of the control room staff were good too but although I expected massive waste and incompetence in the NHS (and there was plenty of both) I was shocked by the bullying, deceitfulness, idleness, and devious dishonesty of most of the 'management' (using the term loosely) and many in administrative roles.
