"Around a minute?
I think the bigger question is Milk or Hot water first?!
Always hot water "
I think anyone answering milk first is worthy of a forum ban |

It tends to be at least 3 minutes. Pour the just boiled water stir for a few seconds leave spoon on top of mug go.do something for a bit come back remove teabag after further stirring and then add milk.
Along as the result is not milky looking its all good. |

"The best tea is the one that someone secretly makes and surprises you with it
Doesn't matter how they've made it "
As much as I would appreciate a surprise cup of tea if it was really strong or really weak I wouldn't enjoy it.

"I only use loose leaf tea now. I’m the only one who drinks it here at the moment so I’ve got a small Cafetiere just for tea. 3 minutes is perfect, timed to perfection on Alexa.

You can get great in cup infusers, best I've had is a stainless steel, fine one from Amazon. Easy to clean and can pop in the dishwasher. Makes single serve loose leaf easier |

Boil kettle at least twice (because I forget I’ve boiled it); pour hot water on teabag in cup; leave for a minute; get involved in something else; forget I have made tea; come back to find it cold and the spoon has dissolved; make coffee instead |
