"about 25 but the actual room temperature is 20.5 which is almost perfect ( something isn’t quite right) "
The thermostat being 25 doesn't mean the room you are arw in will be ths same.
The heating will go off, if the roon where the thermostat is reaches the set temperature. |

Dunno, I live in a one bedroom flat. I have a convection heater in ma living area that gets turned on full blast for about an hour if it's a tad nippy outside, then as long as ma windows aren't frozen on the inside, I turn it off.
I'm an ex biker who spent most of his working life on building sites |

I guess the point of this thread is that different people are comfortable in different temperatures.
I find it fascinating.
You would have thought we'd all prefer the same temperature, seeing as we are all the same beings and made of the same stuff. |

Overnight its set to 10 with both bedroom windows open. During the day its set to 13 but if its still cold then increase to 15.
Anything above that is sickly hot.
If anyone moans in my house they are told to lodge a complaint in writing to the estates manager...me and my response is always to put an additional layer on or even to fully dress...my teenage boy walks around without a top on, no wonder he is cold grrr
I have a living flame fire, and I put the flickering flame on and hold my hand in front of it and say "ooh feel the warmth" ... my kids know now that I have only put the light on to make them think its getting warmer as I throw a blanket at them.

14 mostly, 15 or 16 if it drops really cold.
It's surprisingly comfortable at that. My house is well insulated and I wear a few layers.
My Grandma and Granddad always had the heating on. You'd walk into theirs and have to take off your jumper. I think they only ever turned the heating off for 3 days in July |

Any place I've ever worked there's been arguments about the heat and whether to have windows open or not
I've got an underactive thyroid and although I'm correctly medicated I'm quite sensitive to the cold if I sit or lay still for any length of time. I've got an extra blanket on my side of the bed because I get cold in the night and I'm wearing jumpers while Mr N walks about in a few short |

Crikey ours is on for about two hours in morning before we get up and goes off as we leave for work.
Then comes on again around home time then off again around 9.
No way we can sleep with heating on.
Hate staying in hotels with heating on all night#stuffy |

The correct answer is 'somewhere between Siberia and a witches tit.
Tbf, the thermostat is in the hall which is generally colder than the rest of the house - unless the wind is from the North or East which for some reason makes the whole house cold.
Most of my work at home is using a mouse,I sit with my left hand tucked somewhere warm while my right hand goes numb. I could cope better if she made more coffee but she's shit at that too

i dont think its related to your environment as you where growing up ether because my dads house used to have ice on the inside of the windows in winter,
and he didn't have central heating
where as my mams house was always toasty warm with heating on all the time
and i spent as much time in both growing up,
plus i can stand quit extreme cold and not be bothered by it when i am out but i like to be warm enough to strut around naked in my own house |

Always set to 20 in the winter but on a timer twice a day, if it gets chilly between the time zones then I click it on constant for half hour.
My lounge and bedrooms heat up pretty quick thankfully |

He is obviously not moving that mouse quick enough. I have suggested gloves to him haha
Plus getting him up and walking around the house to make us coffee gets his circulation going and also gives him an excuse to do pull ups on his finger board as the kettle boils. That gorgeous body of his must be maintained for me

I find it fascinating people have timers that turn it off in the day when at work, its far cheaper to keep the system warm than on and off then heating the complete system from cold.
I fitted wet underfloor heating throughout the house and have no radiators, i did run it on off motion but leaving it on my gas bill has come down from £290 per month to £230ish |
