I was posted something similar on YouTube yesterday.

Though I stop at Jackie brown.

Kill Bill was the beginning of his self indulgence, as it was supposed to be one movie but Harvey Weinstein agreed to split it into two.

And the man should be metooed for his foot fetish.

Under the Duvet

I loved the Hateful Eight.

And True Romance.

Think his dialogue is very "set piece" and stilted tho.

And he gives me the Heebie Jeebies.

I'm quite partial to his Grindhouse effort, the pairing of Death proof and Planet Terror really captured a 70s cinema trashy vibe. When the trailer for Machete in the interval then became a film in it's own right it was the cherry on a very enjoyable trashy cake.

I just enjoy them for the cheesey trashy films that they are with no intended intellectual input. The fact Rodriguez directed Planet Terror is a bonus as that's the better of the two.

I love all his films, even the ones people didn't like I enjoyed in their own way, Django is probably my favourite until I watch kill Bill then that's my favourite until I watch pulp fiction then that's my favourite until... I don't count true romance, natural born killers and dusk till dawn as he didn't direct those. I enjoyed his room in four rooms though with the whole scene being filmed in one take with the one camera following the action, being able to tune into different conversations at one point I thought was cool.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I just don’t get the hype re Tarantino, I find him massively overrated. Clever writer yes, but his films are nothing special. Saw reservoir dogs and pulp fiction on video and the kill bills in the cinema, found myself checking my watch repeatedly to see how much longer I had to wait.

I do like his soundtracks to be fair.

Totally overrated in my opinion. His best film Resevoir Dogs was largely ripped off from a Hong Kong film City of Fire while Pulp Fiction was far too long and flabby.

He does use excellent actors which make his films watchable but his writing and direction are all style and no substance.
