Inexplicable blockings

..now I've been blocked by many and this doesn't bother me, its part of the deal.
What does annoy me a little is when I don't understand why.
For example, I met a woman three times over a few months before first lockdown, always great meets...always continued to chat after etc then one day I find she blocked me.
Had another recently, talked about meeting up after all this and then came to reply to her last message...and bang...blocked.

Don't waste your time ......
Could be any number of reasons.
Maybe a covid death in the family or her fanny fell off.
No apologies for the utter reality of my response.

Some poeple are fantasists.
Some people just don't want to hurt someone elses feelings.
Some people are time wasters.
Some people are fake profiles and want a quick wank.
Some people get caught of there other half.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. |

It could have gone well(to you) and might not have been what she was fully looking for also remember a lot of men on here don’t even get meets so that fact your meeting is a plus |

Well I thought it was quite funny tbh...she'd taken a day off work because she had the plumber coming round in the afternoon and feel like she wanted to make the most of the day off. She'd only joined the week before and think she left fairly soon after. I'm guessing she wanted to try it and see how she felt afterwards.. |

There are a lot of seemingly "inexplicable" things happen on here, or at least they may seem inexplicable to the person on the receiving end (of which we have pretty much all been at some point) but they will all be explicable to the person carrying out the action.
I learned quite early on to try not to sweat it too much and just accept that whatever the reason it was obviously a valid one for the other person and there was no point in trying to understand it or figure it out.
That said there have been a couple of times when it has come down to a misunderstanding and has been resolved by talking but that's obviously not something you can necessarily do in the case of a block. |

Yeah but...they have an explanation, we just don't know what it is.
We met a man in 2018 for two socials at the second meeting we agreed to meet a third time for a role play scenario we'd all agreed too. Several messages followed discussing the finer details and three possible dates suggested then nothing. Now he knows why but we can only guess |

It's strange, a guy sent me a slightly rude/arrogant question last night. I replied with the same attitude and he obviously didn't like it as an instant block for me.
Saved me doing the blocking though. |

Yeah...I've a feeling its because I got a veri for a meet by someone returning which happened way back...but makes it look like you've been meeting during lockdown and as she was a care worker probably didn't go down too well. Misunderstandings can happen...but like you say once blocked you're pretty much knackered....now where's my fake profile |

It's a tool to be used in many ways. For me it means stay away/I don't trust you. I suppose that's not what you want to hear. But I would not waste a thought on it. Some just use it as an easy tool to end something. Like a modification of ghosting. Because they weren't as invested as you were and don't feel like justifying their decision as cruel as it sounds. Point is there can be so many explanations why, but will probably never know and it doesn't matter.
It doesn't mean they think of you in hideous ways. It means life has moved on and they didn't chose to say goodbye.
I'm assuming you are referring only to being blocked by people you know not just those you managed to piss off on the internet whilst on some hormone rage?

I’ve had a few meets that the man obviously thought went well, judging by the way they pestered me for a second meet afterwards. But for me they were pretty unpleasant experiences. When you tell someone you aren’t interested in meeting them again but they keep pestering you, what are you supposed to do but block them? In future, if I am unlucky enough to have another bad meet, I probably would block immediately so they can’t even leave a veri, and certainly can’t pester me. |

I’m surprised at times who’s blocked me, one particular person comes to mind. But they could be blocking for a variety of reasons not necessarily because they dislike you. Simply don’t want to engage in a one to one conversation with you.
So I just block back and not give it too much thought |
