Well we had a thread a while back about crap covers, but this one is about artists who have made a good fist or put their own spin on the original.

I Googled Rag'n'Bone Man - Human, and came up with this, it's quite good actually. Not got a clue where he's from, but he's called Paddyman

Disturbed cover of Sound of Silence..

On a slightly different note it always makes when my kids are enjoying some new tune and I say yeah, that's a cover version/remake of some really old song and they are all...whaaaat!

It's a Marmite cover though, I kinda like it as I'm a Rock & Blues man, but others think it was destroyed by them.

Have you got any good cover suggestions?

Two who completely owned the original.

Aretha Franklin, Respect.

Otis Redding who wrote Respect reportedly said ‘that girl stole my song !’

There’s a brilliant YouTube clip of her doing this with just an accoustc guitar.

Johnny Cash's version of Nine Inch Nails Hurt.

His interpretation of Trent Reznor's lyrics at least equals the original and deals with a subject matter close to my heart...

I prefer the cash version to the NIN one. Very raw and emotional

And then have a listen to Chris Cornell's version
