My happy place is Cyprus, the smell of orange groves, the sound of the sea, the peace of the mountains. Bliss. Its always there in my head, I can literally smell the citrus of the orange groves. |

In terms of hours of my life spent there, my happy place has to be Eureka in Kent.
There is nowhere else quite like it. I originally went there to swim and sunbathe and soon found out all the other attractions. In the last 15-20 years the facilities and activities have broadened and with overnight stays vastly enhanced by the cabins it is a veritable Garden of Eden with a plentiful supply of Adams, Eves and serpents (including massive pythons).
I have some favourite places back where I grew up in Jersey and visit them as much as possible for spiritual refreshment. Were it not for having Eureka on the doorstep, I might well have opted for growing old gracefully back in Jersey. |

The first al fresco meal of a Spanish holiday...the condensation on the glass of cold beer..:the rustling of palms...people talking, laughing, happy...all shared with family. Utter contentment. So nostalgic for this... |
